WASHINGTON, October 30, 2016 – The surprise announcement from the FBI that they are looking into newly discovered Clinton emails has given the Trump campaign a boost heading into the general election. Donald Trump has attached himself to the sudden announcement, telling supporters in Las Vegas, “We have one ultimate check on Hillary’s corruption, and that is the power of the vote.”
Investigators found the emails on a computer belonging to former New York Rep. Anthony Weiner, ex-husband of top Clinton aide Huma Abedin. FBI Director James Comey sent a letter to Congress saying his agency would review the emails to determine whether they contained classified information.
Comey’s latest announcement comes months after closing the investigation and clearing Clinton of any wrongdoing. The surprise announcement left the Clinton camp furious and demanding that the FBI release all the information it has.

“The director himself has said he doesn’t know whether the emails referenced in his letter are significant or not. I’m confident, whatever they are, will not change the conclusion reached in July. Therefore, it’s imperative that the bureau explain this issue in question, whatever it is, without any delay,” Clinton said.
Trump previously criticized the FBI after they cleared Clinton, but now he publicly praised the agency. He is also saying that he is leading in polls.
“I have great respect for the fact that the F.B.I. and the D.O.J. are now willing to have the courage to right the horrible mistake that they made,” “This was a grave miscarriage of justice that the American people fully understand. It is everybody’s hope that it is about to be corrected.”
Hillary and the Dems loved and praised FBI Director Comey just a few days ago. Original evidence was overwhelming, should not have delayed!

It is still unclear how the latest revelations will impact the elections. Although it appears it has seriously hurt Clinton with undecided voters, they have not necessarily leaned toward Trump instead of Clinton. Polls currently show the two virtually dead-locked. Pollsters say the announcement is creating tighter races in key states such as Florida, but they also blame the latest breakdown of Obamacare for lack of enthusiasm for Clinton. However, other outlets note a distinct cynicism on the part of Clinton supporters, who see the announcement as political maneuvering.
While this may not alter the outcome of the election, it will keep the Trump campaign in a positive mood for a few days.
