ALEXANDRIA, March 29, 2015 – “The Walking Dead” fans are awaiting tonight’s final episode of season 5 “Conquer.” The name of the episode a clue to tonight’s 90-minute extended episode — but who will be the conqueror and the conquered?

Besides commercials, which promise to be plenty, what will we get in those extra 30 minutes:

First of all, we’ll see how Alexandria deals with Rick’s outburst last week, following a knock-down, drag-out fight with Pete. It seems Pete’s violent tendencies will escalate to the point of tragedy — and Deanna will lose more that she already has.

What we know is that Rick has said he will take Alexandria, by force if he needs to. In a giant “I told you so,” he told Deanna (Tovah Feldshuh) to not let them in. And we know that Daryl, and his BFF Aaron, are outside the gate blissfully unaware of the fight between Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Pete (Corey Brill) and the conflict brewing between the Grimes Gang and the residents of Alexandria.

The big question is who will remain loyal to Rick. Michonne (Danai Gurira) cleaned his clock with a brutal blow during last week’s epic meltdown. Daryl (Norman Reedus) is outside the gates. Father Gabriel (Seth Gilliam) has already turned tail on the group that saved his life so many time.

And some spoilers are saying that the padre will be the one to open the gates to Alexandria’s demise.

Carol (Melissa McBride) is firmly in his corner. As is Glen (Steven Yeum). Carl (Chandler Riggs). Jessie (Alexandra Breckenridge) will align herself with Rick, but I doubt she will leave Alexandria for the brutal life outside the walls of Alexandria, unless the walls of the sanctuary fall — literally or figuratively.

Tara is still out of the picture, recovering from the recently deceased Aidan’s stupidity — the stupidity of which led to Noah’s (Tyler James Williams) death. And Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green) is in the Watchtower. Will she be the one to save the Grimes Gang?

Maggie (Lauren Cohan) has been on the edges of the show for the last few episodes, last seen in the shadows as she listened to Father Gabriel’s betrayal. Will she be the one save Alexandria?

“Fear the Walking Dead” has been formally announced, and it is being teased that characters from “The Walking Dead” may appear in the series’ premier episodes. No word as to whether “The Talking Dead” with host Chris Hardwick will follow Fear The Walking Dead; however, it has been announced that the first trailer for “The Walking Dead” spinoff will premiere during the talk show.

Due to the extended season finale of “The Walking Dead” (March 29, 9 – 10:30 p.m.), “The Talking Dead” will air at a special time – 10:30 p.m. EDT with fan favorite guests Norman Reedus (Daryl), Melissa McBride (Carol) and showrunner/executive producer Scott Gimple and a surprise cast member.

Season five of “The Walking Dead” is coming to a close this Sunday with a special 90-minute episode.

Considering that tensions are, theoretically, at an all-time high between Rick’s group and the Alexandrians, the teaser looks pretty tame: sure, there’s an awkwardness when Rick walks past a group of townsfolk, and there’s a town meeting to discuss his fate.

There is also Father Gabriel’s betrayal of the group that saved his life, more than once.
