Trump successes make MSM, Dems, Eurocrat trash sick of all the winning

Trump successes incur media madness

WASHINGTON: Hey, kids! It’s media bashing time again. This was one of those many Washington weeks when our smorgasbord of news and fake news was as bizarre as it was funny. Prominent on the overtly political radar this week was the growing number of President Trump successes. Most recently, Trump has been scoring on the diplomatic front. Gasbagging Democrats, RINOs, #NeverTrumpers, and the cretinous Lamestream Media have got their metaphorical panties in a knot over this and they’re getting frantic.

For the last couple of weeks, the pearl-clutching political and media cognoscenti lamented that Trump’s apparent progress in Korea was all a sham and was doomed to fail. Little Rocket Man would ultimately best The Donald and leave both him and all of America with egg dripping off their shocked, collective faces.

Well, we’ll eventually see about that. Problem is, this past week, the President piled on the Democrats’ and the MSM’s certain certainties once again. He delivered on yet another campaign promise. Quel horreur!

To wit: He summarily 86’d Barack Obama’s fake nuclear “treaty” – aka “deal” – with Iran and the Eurocrats. (Note to Obama fans: Live by the pen, die by the pen.)

Blustering away as usual but clearly alarmed that a vigorous U.S. foreign policy had unexpectedly returned, the Iranians promptly denounced the U.S. (as is their custom). But they also threatened pliant Eurocrat diplomatic trash with destruction if they decided to follow Trump’s example.

The Gateway Pundit quickly weighed in on this tidbit.

“Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hossein Jaberi Ansari warned Western officials this week that if they do not put pressure on the Trump administration the Iranian regime will leak the names of all Western officials who were bribed to pass the weak deal.”

Comment: You gotta admit: The Iranians are evil, but they sure know how to hurt Europe’s Corruptocrats where it counts. The Trump administration ought to dare the Iranians to deliver on this promise. Only God knows how many French and German companies and the politicians they love were profitably getting around the original sanctions the West finally imposed against Iran and its violent, belligerent Mullah-cracy.

Breitbart explored another angle on Trump successes on the diplomatic front, noting a recent PBS TV appearance by the New York Times’ Chief Fake Conservative David Brooks. Brooks was reluctant to give the President too much credit. But he articulated an unusually lucid understanding of the murderous mindset that dominates both Iran’s murderous mullahs and the Norkies’ Little Rocket Man.

“On Friday’s ‘PBS NewsHour,’ New York Times columnist David Brooks stated that his views on President Trump’s withdrawal from the Iran deal are ‘very mixed’ and President Obama’s argument for the deal has been disproven by time. He further stated that based on his handling of North Korea, President Trump possibly understands thuggish rulers ‘better than people who have higher SAT scores.’

“Brooks said the president ‘comes from a background where basically, in the real estate business, he worked with a lot of thugs, and he cultivated a lot of thugs, and he was a little thuggish himself. But, in my view, that helps him, for all his drawbacks, understand thugs. And so North Korea, he understood that being tough with a thug produces some results. And we’ve had — we’re in a better situation with North Korea than we were otherwise.’

“‘President Obama… [argued]… that Iran would moderate and become a more familiar member of the company of nations, [but] that has turned out to be clearly false. They are the most genocidal nation on the face of the earth. They export violence and terror around the earth. And so Trump standing up to them at least has some legitimacy. It’s possible that he understands people like that better than people who have higher SAT scores.'”

COMMENT: Brooks’ thug vs. thugs analogy is disparaging toward Trump on its surface. But it also embraces the hard truth that the MSM and DC Establishment simply cannot bear. Obama was a socialist wimp who nearly destroyed America’s position in the world, which was his intention. But the world’s bullyboys, thugs and thugocracies enjoyed walking all over both Obama and a supine U.S. for 8 long years. And taking maximum advantage of this.

Now, the Wimp-in-Chief is gone and a reliably gruff and serious American sheriff is back in town. Both the situation in North Korea and Iran ain’t over ‘til they’re over. But Trump is off to an unexpectedly promising start. More Trump successes. More winning. It’s unbearable in the Deep State, which still hasn’t managed to get rid of this troublesome Commoner Prince. As FDR is alleged to have said, “He may be a son-of-a-bitch. But he’s OUR son-of-a-bitch.”

Given these surprising diplomatic developments, the GOP tax cut, and President Trump’s slowly improving approval rating, one of off-the-wall California’s most legendary (and effective) veteran Democrats – Willie Brown– has some sage advice for his own party, dispensed via the San Francisco Chronicle.

“It’s time for the Democrats to stop bashing President Trump.

“It’s not going to be easy, given his policies and personality. It might even mean checking into a 12-step program. But setting a winning agenda is like maneuvering an aircraft carrier. It takes time to change course. And if they want to be on target for the November midterm elections, the Democrats need to start changing course now…

“Like it or not, a significant number of Americans are actually happy these days. They are making money. They feel safe, and they agree with the president’s protectionist trade policies, his call for more American jobs, even his immigration stance.

“The jobs growth reports, the North Korea summit and the steady economy are beating out the Stormy Daniels scandal and the Robert Mueller investigation in Middle America, hands down.

“So you are not going to win back the House by making it all about him.

“Rather than stoking the base by attacking Trump, Democrats need to come up with a platform that addresses the average voters’ hopes and concerns. Not just the needs of underdogs or whatever cause happens to be the media flavor of the week.

“Democrats need to look like the adults, not like another pack of screaming kids on the playground.

“And they need to start now.”

Comment and Conclusion: Trump successes are getting hard to ignore

Italics above are mine. Frankly, it takes a street fighter to know a street fighter. That’s something David Brooks also recognizes, using slightly different terminology. So listen to Uncle Willie, kids. If the Socialists Democrats really want to take back the House, the Democrats should heed Willie Brown’s advice this November. Problem is, their current radical left leadership is now 101 percent into hard left ideology. That’s what’s dragging increasing numbers of reluctant Democrats into the Trump camp, even though they won’t admit it. That is, until the levers they pull on Election Day 2018 give their opinions away.

The race-baiting, speech-policing, anti-self-defense and anti-American posturing promoted by today’s Democrats continues to alienate and infuriate America’s still majority-white working class voters. The party paid dearly for this in 2016. I think there’s a better than even chance they’ll pay up again in 2018.

So does Willie Brown. #
