Noah’s hometown of Richmond was not a safe haven for the group. In fact, it turned disastrous and tragic in one fell swoop. So what’s next? They are walking to Washington, D.C. from Richmond, but there are new threats. Wild dogs (and Duke for dinner) and the idea that there are a “Them” out there – which we take as a roving band of nasty people that killed Noah’s family – which led to the death of Tyreese.
A storm brings a miracle of God (or nature, or chance) that saves the survivors, trapped in a barn surrounded by walkers, once again in that the dead are impaled on trees that topple in a violent storm leading to brilliant sunset.
And a moment between Sasha and Maggie. Sasha is looking for a new source of strength now that Tyreese is dead. And will Maggie need a friend as Glenn finally meets his demise. Everyone keeps predicting Glenn’s death. The comic books has a character called Negan killing Glenn with a baseball bat. Was the bat that Glenn picked up in Richmond a hint at what is to come?
He is truly the last character whose death fans will accept even as they are dealt yet another emotional blow. Lesser characters like Tara, Rosita, Noah and Father Gabriel are certainly fair game, and their deaths almost seem inevitable.
And then there is Morgan. He is still out there. Looking for Rick.
Richmond is South of DC, about two hours by car. Alexandria is a colonial town at the lower South West corner of DC. At the end of the last episode, the survivors encountered Aaron, who has come upon the group, knowing he is looking for Rick Grimes, in order to take them back to the Alexandria Safe-Zone. If this is true, and Aaron has transportation (he was very well dressed, clean-shaven and coiffed, meaning he has not be walking through Southern heat and storm) the group could end up in Alexandria tonight.
Happiness may be in the future for the survivors. Romance has been promised, and a relationship between Carol and Daryl has been wished for by fans, but it might actually be Rick. Teases are there is a special blonde in Alexandria.
Our sneak peak of Episode 511 The Distance (airs Sunday, Feb. 22, at 9/8c) gives us a glimpse at Aaron, while Carol’s eye roll at Daryl seems to say, “Here we go again, let’s just kill him.”

What new threats will test Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) in Episode 10? The death of Beth has opened an emotional chasm that he will turn to Carol to mend (my prediction).
