WASHINGTON November 26, 2016 – There are just three more episodes before The Walking Dead mid-winter break on December 11 following the mid-season finale “Hearts Still Beating”. The Walking Dead is nothing if not predictable in its season progressions. In season 6, episode 6, Daryl is seperated from Abraham and Sasha, and trying to get back, is confronted by Dwight, Sherry and Tina, who are wandering in the woods.
Dwight takes Daryl’s crossbow and supplies only to have tables turned.
In a gesture of magnanimity, Daryl – instead of killing Dwight – helps Dwight, Sherry and Tina only to have Dwight and Tina return in season 7 as part of Negan’s gang.
Setting things up for the final confrontation that led to this seasons gruesome episode one, “The Day Will Come When You Won’t Be” and the death of Abraham and then Glen.
And the capture of Daryl by Negan, and his right hand man, Dwight. Daryl should have killed him when he had the chance, but Daryl could not hear the watchers yelling at him, could he?
Maggie, still pregnant and grieving, are at the Hilltop, proving Jeffrey to be the hapless leader that he is. Carl and Jesus are in the back of a panel van, heading to the Saviours outpost.
King Ezikiel and Carol have started to form an alliance.
Tara and Heath, who spend a lot of time scavenging together, encounter yet another group tonight – but are they friends or foes?
Showrunner Scott Gimple says of the new group:
“If we’ve gotten this far without saying anything about them, I’d like the audience to discover this group when it’s on screen,” Gimple said. “I mean, it’s not the Whisperers. I will also say, though, that it’s not impossible that the Whisperers could come along or aspects of them could come along earlier than the timeline of the book, but certainly not this early.”
Swear arrives on the heels of Go Getters, episode 705, that followed Maggie Rhee to the Hilltop where she is joined by Sasha at the graves of Abraham and Glenn. It is here that Maggie continues to emerge as the leader Deanna trained her to be.
One thing is certain; the Grimes Gang is no longer alone in this Zombie Apocalypse. Join CommDigiNews fan chat during the episode and through The Talking Dead, tonight starting at 9:00 p.m. EST.
However, the biggest story tonight is that Carl and Jesus are hidden in the back of a Saviors’ truck headed straight for Negan’s Sanctuary. Will they get Daryl back to Alexandira?
Internet buzz is that this is Tara’s episode. We can only hope that does not mean she dies.
