‘Star Wars: Episode 8’ in production: Luke, we know you so well

This is the story of Luke and the Force. And good vs. evil. Continued. And December 2017 is far, far away.

WASHINGTON, February 15, 2016 – A post Valentine’s Day gift is a snippet of video from the production of Star Wars VIII, now being filmed on the Irish Island of Skellig Michael, Rey finds Luke, returning his light saber at the end of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
It seems all to obvious from this bit of film that VIII will be about Luke, the protector of the Force, his self isolation on the island, and all that has happened since the end of a Star Wars VI, return of the Jedi and the last of the original films before the pre-quels, beginning with The Phantom Menace begins.
And possibly unveiling Rey’s parentage. The Force is strong with that one, as we learned.

The very first footage from Star Wars: Episode 8 has premiered, some two years before the Dec. 18, 2017 release date. Billed as the Star Wars: Episode VIII Production Announcement , the new footage makes a couple of promises about the upcoming sequel to The Force Awakens.

But this is new Star Wars footage, so…
