WASHINGTON, May 30, 2016 — Way back in the day, a few enterprising chemistry students at my university would go the the chem lab to concoct a substance they’d employ in night time stunts. They’d paint the stuff on their bodies and light it up, instantly bathing themselves in a blue flame which was easily extinguished without casualties. Today, however, a series of YouTube videos appear to have revived interest in this kind of stunt, which increasingly is leading to less than happy results.
