Warm CNN and MSNBC newsrooms comfort fallen spies in from the cold

WASHINGTON. It’s a match made in hell. CNN announces it has hired disgraced former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe as a “contributor.” You may recall that McCabe was fired after the FBI learned he was leaking to the press and had lied to – you guessed it – FBI investigators hunting down government leakers.

Liar on the lose

While many a Trump associate cools his heals in the federal poky for “lying to the FBI,” lying McCabe is free to join the ever-growing number of anti-Trump Deep State operatives enriching themselves at the mainstream media’s trough.

But this is understandable in light of events that transpired over the past three years.

Obama’s real legacy

It’s clear President Obama weaponized the CIA, NSA, and FBI against the only politician who posed a credible threat to the electoral chances of Democrat Hillary Clinton – GOP presidential candidate Donald J. Trump.

And Obama weaponized the ineffectual geldings of the Republican Party as well. Lest we forget, former FBI Director James Comey, former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, and former Special Counsel Robert Mueller are all Republicans.

Oh, and CNN’s shiny new contributor, former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, is a Republican as well.

Former foreign policy minion Stefan A. Halper worked for the Nixon, Ford, and Reagan administrations. He also infiltrated the Trump 2016 campaign to spy on behalf of our corrupt and dangerous FBI. As the late GOP Sen. John McCain, like a kicked dog skulking back to his cruel master, shopped the now discredited Steele dossier to the FBI and an adoring media on behalf of the man who handily defeated him in 2008.

Shortly before his death, McCain penned an op-ed for the Washington Post titled “Mr. President, Stop Attacking the Press.”

According to McCain:

“Trump continues his unrelenting attacks on the integrity of American journalists and news outlets. This has provided cover for repressive regimes to follow suit. The phrase ‘fake news’ — granted legitimacy by an American president — is being used by autocrats to silence reporters, undermine political opponents, stave off media scrutiny and mislead citizens.”

But Russiagate proved the extent to which the media, the people Trump correctly calls “the enemy of the people,” working with Washington’s bipartisan autocrats, sought to “undermine [Obama’s] political opponents… and mislead citizens.”

This bipartisan cabal did not approve of the peoples’ White House pick in 2016 and sought to remove him from office using US intelligence agencies that in years past defended Americans against enemies foreign and domestic.

Post 2016, the Trump voter is the Deep State’s new enemy.

According to Chuck Ross at The Daily Caller, McCabe is among 15 “former spooks” – CIA and FBI – hired by cable news network’s CNN and MSNBC.

The Deep State’s “insurance policy” (read coup plot) to stop Trump in 2016 failed. But the mainstream media hopes to reinvigorate the political conspiracy by bringing Obama’s disgraced Deep State assets out of the cold and into the warm and cozy confines of their newsrooms – just in time for the 2020 presidential election.
