SAN DIEGO, November 2, 2015 – The seven remaining couples on “Dancing With The Stars” can see the finals just ahead. Every elimination now takes out a possible contender, so the stakes are high every single routine.
Every couple will fight hard to win immunity this week, which involves a real time fan vote during the live broadcast. Join our Communities Live Chat no matter what time zone you are in, and we’ll help provide you the information you need to vote. (Scroll below chat window for more information about tonight’s show)
The couples will dance twice this week. Their individual routine pays tribute to their favorite “Icon,” someone who has inspired the star. Whether it is a celebrity or someone they know personally isn’t clear.
The dances are the Argentine Tango, Contemporary, Foxtrot, Paso Doble, Salsa, and the Viennese Waltz.
The top scoring couple after the individual dances will receive immunity from elimination next week, along with three additional judges points.
The couple winning immunity will be excused from Round 2, which is a head to head Dance Off. The remaining couples will pair off and compete. The winner will be decided by a combination of the judges’ choice and votes by fans via the ABC.com website. The couple who receives the most votes in the entire Dance Off will receive an extra two points to increase their overall score. The Dance Off styles will be the Cha Cha, Jive, and Samba. What do you bet we see Carlos and Alexa battle each other?
Nick and Sharna and Tamar and Val were tied for last after Halloween Week, with Alek and Lindsayjust one point ahead. There is a gulf between this group of three couples and the rest of the pack, so one of these three couples is likely going home – unless they win overall immunity.
The confirmed dance assignments listed are for Bindi and Derek, Nick and Sharna, and Carlos and Witney; the others are our best call at press time based on the published list and the dances the couples have already performed this season.
Let’s find out who the couples honor as their icons and how this whole immunity thing really works. Less smoke, more lighting this week please.
