BALTIMORE, November 2, 2014 – Center Stage has the distinction of throwing the best After Parties in the DMV, period. Each one sets the stage for the actors, directors and producers to mix and mingle with the audience and, quite frankly, have a lot of fun in the process.

The company’s most recent party, celebrating the debut of their new production of “Next to Normal,” was uncorked on the fifth floor of the Jay Andrus rehearsal hall. True, getting there required some effort to hike up the stairs from the building’s lobby. But the scenery was well worth the climb

Neither the party nor the brew catered to just the fabulous and the famous. The scene was a magnet for wannabe artists, actors and youthful millennials who won’t give up their flip flops even on a raw rainy night in Charm City, because Girls Just Wanna Have Fun! (Credit: Malcolm Lewis Barnes)

And the spread laid out by Classic Catering was to die for, and that’s an understatement. No cheese and stale crackers here. Instead, actors, staff and guests reveled in choices that included coconut-crusted chick tenders, sweet and sour shrimp, and, for good measure, a tempting variety of deserts squares in at least six flavors.

Completing the picture was the friendly background music accompanied by a complementary selection wine and craft beer provided by local sponsor Union Craft Brewing Company, featuring Duckpin Pale Ale, a Company specialty that unpretentious Baltimore sports fans love to imbibe at any ball or party.
