WASHINGTON, November 20, 2015 – Join Communities Digital News for our Fear The Walking Dead Episode 4 “Don’t Fade Away” Fan Chat. Last weeks episode helped us viewers decide where our characters fall in line; Madison Clark’s (Kim Dickens) strength is evident even as Travis (Cliff Curtis) is leaving his metro-sexual self behind and allowing his cajones out.
(Remember in episode one where Travis is triumphant over having accomplished a very basic home repair to great applause from an adoring Madison, whom we believe could have done the job without a moment’s thought.)
Alicia Clark (Alycia Debnam-Carey) has finally obtained a clue as to what is happening and while we believe she might be better of left in zip code 90210, she is showing a depth of strength we might not have thought her capable of. Nick Clark (Frank Dillane) is struggling through his drug withdrawal, leaving him less than healthy looking.
Tonight, as we can see in the following episode sneak peak, Martial Law has taken over and taken Nick.
Where we are going to see some serious tension, and emotion, is from the Salazar Family. Matriarch Griselda (Patricia Reyes Spíndola) is not doing well after having her foot and ankle crushed running away from the LA mobs. Nurse Liza Ortiz (Elizabeth Rodriguez), ex-wife of Travis and mom to Christopher (Lorenzo James Henrie) has said she won’t survive. Madison is giving Nick’s detox drugs to Griselda.
There will be clashes between patriarch Daniel Salazar (Ruben Blades) who upset Travis by giving Christopher lessons on loading the rifle they have – an outrage by Travis that you could literally hear the audience going “What!” as these boys need to become men – and fast.
Griselda and Daniel’s daughter Ofelia, whom we know to be devout as we saw her praying with her mother, will step up to mediate between the ex – Elizabeth and the present Madison., who have been thrust together in the worst of situations, and offer this band a moral campus.
Our sneak peaks let us know that in addition to the apocalypse, survivors will need to survive the Government’s militarized response that is turning survivors into enemies. And it shows us the worst that could happen if fiction became reality.
My predictions are that Nick, as we see, will be taken away only to escape to tell his family of what is really happening in the camps where they are taking those that might be infected; that Griselda won’t last through this mini-season, creating the need for Travis to kill her, before she becomes undead.
And that Madison will be the first to truly understand what is happening.
But I could be totally wrong.
