WASHINGTON, October 18, 2015 – This week’s episode of The Walking Dead is titled, “JSS” and it prominently features the curious Enid, Carl’s possible love interest – that’s a story line we are waiting to see develop. Or not. Because you just don’t know on TWD.

In last week’s preview for JSS on Talking Dead, we saw Enid hide in a car and write “JSS” on the dirty window with finger – could it stand for her personal mantra – Just Stay Safe.

What we do know is that Alexandria is under attack. The largest herd ever (estimates are over 600 undead walkers) has been collecting in a quarry just outside the safe haven, and the have broken out. We saw Rick, Michonne, Darryl, Abraham and Sasha all work together to guide the herd away from Alexandria – only to have an air horn, from inside the boundaries of the refuge town, change their course back to the fragile walls that stand between the town and what we believe is the biggest threat – the undead. However we may find that the living is a much greater threat.

Previews and sneak peeks show that Carol is the one inside those walls that stands between certain death and possible life for those that Alexandrines that have been living under a false sense of security – that is until the Grimes Gang showed up with a whoop-ass fill of reality. A reality sent home with the death of Reg, Deanna’s husband, showing the towns leader that their safety has long been nothing but an illusion.

Predictions of what we can expect to see include whether Gabriel will redeem himself with the people who saved him, just before he dies? And what of the mysterious Enid. Has she encountered the Wolves on her wanderings outside the walls and become a spy for the group that seeks to take over Alexandria (because who wouldn’t want to keep Alexandria?)

Who will live or die is open to much speculation tonight. My bets are it will be Gabriel. If the show follows the comic book, Carl will suffer a grave injury tonight, making way for the introduction of a new character, Dr. Denise Cloyd Merritt Wever) a medic and surgeon.

And remember, our core survivors, Rick, Morgan, Daryl, Abraham, Glenn and Sasha are all outside, with Carol, Maggie, Eugene and Carl (who will be protecting Judith) inside along with the stronger Alexander residents that will survive. It will be interesting to see how Deanna responds. And my bets are that Julie will not – her relationship with Rick has just not been allowed to click.

Also inside is Heath (Corey Hawkins) who appeared last week as our first new cast member for season 6; I think the dreadlocked one will not only survive but become integral to tonight’s survival.

But there promises to be many left dead, and undead, tonight.
