SAN DIEGO, April 27, 2015 – Sometimes odd circumstances force couples to dig down deep into their creativity and fans are rewarded with memorable, unique performances on ‘Dancing With The Stars.” Remember the futuristic tango danced by Derek Hough and partner Joanna Krupa?
How about the 1950s paso doble by Derek and Nicole Scherzinger?
So, as odd as some of the choices seem, give “Eras Week” a chance to impress you tonight. Each couple gets a ballroom dance style assigned along with a specific decade. This week, the couple with the highest overall score gets “immunity” from elimination and an extra three points added to their score.
We want to hear what you think about tonight’s routines. Communities Digital News hosts a Live Online Fan Chat weekly for fans to share their reviews and cheer for their favorites.
The remaining six couples then compete in a dance-off for extra judges’ points to help their overall score. The longer the couple stays on the floor before being eliminated, the more points they earn.
The word from ABC is that just one couple will go home Monday night. In the weeks to come, an elimination show will be added on Tuesday night through the finals.
There will be a Tuesday show this week. Originally scheduled later in the season, the “Dancing with the Stars: 10th Anniversary Special,” will air Tuesday at 8 p.m.The episode promises show-stopping performances featuring past and present “Dancing with the Stars” cast members and pro dancers, plus a look back at fan-favorite moments from the past 20 seasons.
