WASHINGTON, May 5, 2015 – Tonight we have double elimination as the the fan votes from last night’s Dancing with the Stars season 20 “America’s Choice Night” with each of the six remaining couples performing a routine with songs and dance styles chosen by popular vote from social media.
Injured pro Derek Hough, Sasha and star Nastia Luikin performed a trio dance, Jive, that had everyone on our chat, and the judges, cheering for its creativity, skill and how Hough choreographed a dance that reflected the journey of this competitor.
Carrie Ann Inaba called it the most creative trio dance she has ever seen. And she has seen plenty!
Once again, our hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews welcomed us back to the ballroom and judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman, Julianne Hough and Bruno Tonioli were on-hand to critique the performances giving Rumer Willis and Valentin Chmerkovskiy Rumba to “Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps” by Doris Day.
Rumer and Val’s Trio Dance, a Paso Doble with Artem Chigvintsev scored the second perfect score of the night
Len has consistently repeated, to the agreement of the other judges, that he wants to see a little less theatrics and more dancing. We might see next weeks semi final dances focusing on the core ballroom dancing we all love.
In tonight’s show, two couples face elimination as we move toward next week’s semi finals.
