SAN DIEGO, October 14, 2017 – The 10 remaining celebrities will channel their inner child as they portray Disney characters from favorite Disney films and during one of the current fan favorite themes, Disney Night on “Dancing with the Stars” this week.
The show reaches back into the Disney movie library through the years, from the 1920s to present day, featuring films from every era. With such a rich and deep supply of songs, it’s wonderful to see so many beloved classics sprinkled among some new numbers from films not everyone knows.
Each couple will perform to songs from beloved Disney films, including the upcoming Disney•Pixar animated feature, “Coco,” along with “Moana,” “Pinocchio,” “The Jungle Book,” “The Little Mermaid,” “The Lion King,” and “Snow White.” Each celebrity will perform a Viennese waltz, Argentine tango, foxtrot, quickstep, jazz, rumba or waltz this week.
Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold earned the season’s first perfect tens last week for their Contemporary routine. Can they do it again? Can anyone else join them?
At the end of the night, based on scores and votes from last Monday, one couple will be eliminated.
Lindsey and Mark drew a real winner assignment with “When You Wish Upon A Star,” while Victoria and Val must be wondering who decided to drop a 1920s obscurity on them. The only reason anyone would know “Steamboat Willie” is because it marks the first official appearance of Mickey Mouse.
Let’s also hope Frankie Muniz doesn’t try to challenge the all-time great Captain Jack Sparrow portrayal by Riker Lynch with Allison Holker on Disney Night 2 during Season 20 in 2015. It’s worth a look back.
