SAN DIEGO, May 10, 2015 – Four couples have made it to the semifinals in Season 20 of “Dancing With The Stars.” Three of the four aren’t a real surprise: Rumer and Val, Nastia and Derek (along with Sasha) and Riker and Allison. The surprise entry is Noah Galloway, the Iraq war veteran and endurance athlete, a double amputee dancing with Sharna Burgess.

Which of the four will leave DWTS one week shy of the finals? It’s got to be the worst departure the whole season — to come just this close but not get to the end.

There will be two dances to help make the decision. For the first time, the judges will choose one of the two dances as well as the song and creative elements. The judges will coach the couple for this single routine. What’s the reasoning behind their choices? We will find out on the show.

The couples will perform a second dance; then it’s up to the fans to vote.

And because we’re down to four couples but still have a two-hour show to fill, all-stars champion Melissa Rycroft will lead a special dance performance from the upcoming tour, “Dancing with the Stars: Live!” featuring Artem Chigvintsev, Valentin Chmerkovskiy, Keo Motsepe, Sasha Farber, Witney Carson, Peta Murgatroyd, Emma Slater, Jenna Johnson and Brittany Cherry. As filler goes, it’s first-class filler.

Good news for viewers: ABC has confirmed that “Dancing With The Stars” will be back next season.

Our Communities fan chat will review this week’s semifinals and talk about who deserves to compete for the Mirror Ball Trophy next week.

See Judge’s Choice Week on “Dancing With the Stars” Monday at 8 p.m. Eastern/Pacific Time on the ABC television network.
