CommDigiNews Hour for Friday, June 13, 2014 begins the first of many conversations on the upcoming 2014 Midterm, the candidates, the issues, and why they are important – and you should vote.
Senior Editors Lisa Ruth and Jim Picht will start off this series with a lively conversation on the importance of the midterms, and a look at a few choice races. As the summer season progresses we will continue the discussion, inviting candidates to join in.
Cotto is a social journalist by trade and student of history by lifestyle choice. He hails from central Florida, writing about political, economic, and social issues of the day. In the past, he was a contributor to Blogcritics Magazine, among other publications. He is currently at work on a book about American society.
Gottfried is Raffensperger Professor of Humanities Emeritus at Elizabethtown College. He is the author of eleven books, most recently Leo Strauss and the Conservative Movement in America (Cambridge University Press, 2011), and more than one hundred scholarly articles. He received a Guggenheim Fellowship in 1983
