LOS ANGELES, Oct. 8, 2015 — The thrash punk band from the Ventura/Oxnard area you once knew and loved as Cholos On Acid will no longer be going by that title. The band will now be known as Cycos On Acid.
The band confirmed to Communities Digital News that the name change did in fact take place after some turmoil caused by a lineup change.
The original bass player for Cholos On Acid, Ken Harrington, was replaced by Adam Fuscaldo of Oxnard, Calif., back in April due to conflicts with their visions of the band. With Ken Harrington apparently also went the Cholos On Acid name.
To avoid the costs of a legal battle, the band simply chose to part ways with both their bass player and their name.
The newly branded Cycos On Acid will be opening for thrash legends D.R.I. on Oct. 20 at Gigi’s in Ventura and in Long Beach on Nov. 6 with Excel. Also, look for a new record from the band in 2016.Click here for reuse options!
