Brooklyn flag burners trumped by American patriots (videos)

Happy Independence Day! Tables turned on leftist stooges. Real Americans rebel against the rising tyranny and intolerance of the coddled and clueless left.

WASHINGTON, July 4, 2015 – Though we’re slightly behind the curve on this one, we thought it might be a good idea to report and comment on the surprising results of a typical leftist, flag-burning stunt that took place Thursday in Brooklyn, N.Y. What transpired next offers positive proof that genuine American pride and patriotism are still alive and well in the United States, despite the Obama administration’s concerted effort to stamp them out.

The MSM has essentially declined to cover this story as it doesn’t fit their official narrative of America’s decline and fall. We’re resurrecting the story here to help you celebrate Independence Day in A positive way and offer some hope to the majority of Americans who still believe the U.S. remains a beacon of freedom for the world, Marxist propaganda to the contrary.

We start with an explanatory note from Jazz Shaw at Hot Air:

Since many of you are probably enjoying a long weekend as we recognize the nation’s birthday, let’s start things off today with an uplifting, patriotic story. What are your holiday plans? Perhaps you’re putting up Old Glory, going to a parade or just having a cookout. Whatever it may be, it’s likely different than the agenda of a New York group called Disarm NYPD who decided to go to a public park and burn some flags, both American and Confederate. And it might have worked, too, had they not run into a group of veterans and bikers who took a dim view of their little cookout. (CBS New York)

Hot Air links to a video, now available via YouTube that demonstrated how this event really turned out:

Priceless comment from Vietnam vet tearing up posters near the end of this clip as he reviews the quality of the protestors’ propaganda: “Burn this s**t, f***ing traitors, I didn’t go to Vietnam to see this.”

Right answer.

In a the following brief Fox News video, we get a little more background on this story, learning that the leaders of this failed flag burning stunt were part of a shadowy group known as “Disarm NYPD,” which allegedly was formed “in response to the Charleston massacre.” We are still wondering what the NYPD had to do with that event.

An additional Fox clip featured a brief interview with one of the elusive flag-burners, who readily and surprisingly admitted he was “an anarchist and a Communist” in that order, concrete evidence supporting what any sentient American already should know. Encouraged (arms length) by the Obama administration and funded by the SEIU and other Soros-supported Marxist organizations, the anti-war, anti-cop, anti-American and anti-Christian demonstrations and violence we’ve been witnessing in this century are all put up and funded by the violent left and do not even come close to representing majority American opinion.

It’s infuriating, but it’s the way things currently are. Since 2009, the left has been remarkably successful in using Soros- and taxpayer-provided dollars to fund left-wing thugs and activists. The aim: to attack and intimidate average Americans, the better to divide rather than unite the citizens of a great country still struggling to overcome the Great Recession due largely to an administration that has vastly different priorities.

Fortunately, as we see in the next video, there are still some hopeful, optimistic Americans who try to engage these doctrinaire leftists in a discussion of the issues, just like the vet in this YouTube video, originally posted on TheBlaze:

As is plain to see, the vet in this video makes a valiant attempt to engage with an opponent. But ultimately, he’s wasting his time, as anyone who’s tried to engage one of these robotic leftists will readily attest.

Simply stated: You can’t engage the left. These people have their talking points memorized down to the last punctuation mark, don’t listen, don’t reflect and keep talking at you to shut you down. They have terminated their rational capabilities. Their talking points have become a matter of faith. The left has morphed into a secular religion. They absolutely refuse to engage.

As one comment to this video observes:

Nice try soldier, but these people dont want to talk or listen….they just want to hate and destroy…..and of course, more free stuff from the country they hate

Hopefully, in the coming days, weeks, months and years, we’ll begin to see more of the kind of pushback against the left we’ve just witnessed in these recent video clips.

As Instapundit’s Glenn Reynolds often observes, a snarling, leftist minority has pushed the average American entirely too far. The only effective response: “Punch back twice as hard.” It’s the only thing these people understand.

Happy Independence Day!
