WASHINGTON, June 27, 2016 – Big Brother Season 18 is back on and this weekend’s episode turned the “house guests” strategies upside down. Big Brother is a contest show similar to “Survivor” where the contestant faces weekly evictions.
After three months of cutthroat competition and weekly evictions, the last remaining houseguest moves on with a half-million dollar prize.
House guests spent the day kissing each other’s butt, in hopes of keeping themselves alive in the competition, still Jozea and Paulie are on the hot seat facing eviction. As the head of a household, Nicole from Team Freakazoid faced increased tension with Jozea after placing him on the eviction block. Nicole defended her decision saying she was trying to be fair by putting up two strong people. She says he and Paulie are both strong.
The newbies are, as newbies will do, attempting to form alliances with each other, while veteran players spend time recruiting those newbies in hopes of kicking out the strong, such as Jozea.
This week introduced a new competition for the season called Big Brother Roadkill. Termed an “individual competition”, each contestant strips to their bathing suit while keeping three buttons pressed. Letting go of one button, the clock speeds up going 30x faster, release two buttons and it becomes a race as the clock ticks down 60x faster. Drop all three and it become frenetic as that clock increases by 120 times.
The winner earns the ability to put someone else up for eviction anonymously meaning they don’t know who has voted against them. Veteran player Frank won with a time of two minutes and 37 seconds hiding his relief at winning until he gets to his room and meets with his fellow veteran players where they celebrate his big win.
The losers of the last competition landed in “Mystery Land” where for one week they are forced to wear absolutely nothing but nude colored undies and pixels for the camera. At the end of the day, it is revealed that Paul has been added to eviction chopping block.
This coming Wednesday night will introduce viewers to the “Power of Veto,” the POV allows anyone to keep someone from not getting evicted. Frank is hoping he wins the POV so he can ensure that Jozea is evicted.
After Sunday’s major twist in the competition, we are left wondering who will be the next evicted house guest. Will it be Jozea, the thorn in Nicole’s side, Paul or Paulie. Will Nicole’s plan of placing Paulie and Jozea backfire costing her an ally.
