A darker Walking Dead returns tonight with Live Chat 9:00pm EST

The AMC hit show and CommDigiNews chats return tonight, and every Sunday night, for the return of season 5 and the CDN Walking Dead Live Chats

WASHINGTON, February 8, 2015 – Tonight promises to open with gut wrenching angst and Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and the  survivors mourn Beth’s (Emily Kinney) murder just as she was about to return as a result of Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride) tracking them down to Grady Hospital.

Beth’s death does give the group a goal as they are now going help Noah return to Virginia, where once again sanctuary is promised.

I beg you to remember Herschel’s farm, Woodbury, The Prison, Terminus…

New we go on?  I am not sure that there is sanctuary outside the safety and love this group creates for themselves.

Hmmmm, maybe a message is emerging after five seasons of gory, exploding, flaming, oozing, munching zombies and the man tragedies and losses suffered. And the back end of season five promises more zombies and loss – because on Walking Dead no character is safe.

Andrew Lincoln, aka Rick Grimes says:

I think that people have to be prepared for it. We also go very dark and then something different happens in the story which I think is going to breathe incredible new life further down the road for the show.

At the mid-season break, we left the show with a clip of Morgan (Lennie James) at Father Gabriel’s church, picking up the map showing the group had left for DC.  Remember, Rick and Morgan first met after Rick emerged from the hospital, then again when they met while Rick, Michonne (Danai Gurria) and Carl (Chandler Riggs) were out scavenging and Morgan was on the “edge” of his sanity,

In the clip above, we hear Father Gabriel (Seth Gillian) officiating over Beth’s burial.

Noah (Tyler James Williams) now propel’s the story forward, so I am guessing that Eugene’s (Josh McDermitt) days may be numbered – rumors of a mid-season return death abound.. so maybe even tonight..

  • F*cking dead

New life would be good. Show gets a little stale in between the big character deaths anymore. Anyone who hasn’t read the comics is missing out. Infinitely better than the show, with the exception that Daryl does not exist in the comics as he was created for the show. That is not to say they could not introduce his character in the comics at some point due to his popularity on the show.

    Apparently he’s not dead
