Fall means Oktoberfest and on PAIRED, Chef Mary Moran with wine and beverage expert Duane Pemberton, author of Trekking Down the Wine Lifestyle, discuss how you can create a delicious Oktoberfest feast.
Oktoberfest is the world’s largest festival celebrating German food. There are festivals from the end of September through October in all parts of the country and the world where you can try all of the delicious foods.
Our Oktoberfest will be filled with traditional foods: bratwurst, sauerkraut, schnitzel and potato soup and Duane will be sharing his favorite beers. Our secret is we will be discussing shortcuts by using some premade products and tricks to ensure that the host and hostess have as much fun as the guests.
Chef Mary Payne Moran is a graduate of the California School of Culinary Arts and a Certified Nutritionist. She is also a published food writer and is in demand for broadcast and radio segments. The owner of Hail Mary’s, Chef Mary believes that good food nurtures the soul. Chef Mary authors Hail Mary Food of Grace for Communities Digital News and her blog Cooking with Chef Mary.
Duane Pemberton got his start in the wine business back in the early 2000s with a Seattle-area wine distributor. In 2008, he launched WineFoot.com, started judging many Seattle-area wine events and now takes his passion for wine to CDN.
