WASHINGTON, August 11, 2015 — Pro-life and pro-family values were front and center in last week’s Fox News/Facebook presidential debate in Cleveland.
Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker were asked to defend their previous support for a Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. On Sunday, Rubio defended his stance on abortion on NBC’s Meet the Press: “I personally and deeply believe that all human life is worthy of the protection of our laws. I do. And I believe that irrespective of the conditions by which that life was conceived, or anything else, and for me to be consistent on that belief.”
It appears that pro-life and pro-family GOP voters in delegate-rich Florida have another weapon in their arsenal. Florida Family Policy Council’s John Stemberger and his organization have been relentless in advocating on behalf of families in Florida who face challenges to their pro-family stances. Those challenges include protecting human life, traditional marriage and family concerns, legal and judicial issues and education issues.
The FFPC is taking their advocacy on the road with their upcoming 2015 Give Me Liberty Tour. The tour will focus on restoring liberty and creating a great awakening for political change in Florida and in America.
Joining Standing at Freedom’s Gate host Kevin Fobbs will be John Stemberger, president and general counsel to the Florida Family Policy Council, to discuss pro-life and pro-family issues and solutions. Stemberger will also explain how Trail Life USA, a Christ-centered scouting program for boys which launched on Jan. 1, 2014 and which he co-founded, is helping its 20,000 members in over 500 troops chartered in 48 states.
