WASHINGTON: The United States needs better border security. Most Americans, all deplorables, know this. Liberals and Democrats are putting their opposition to President Trump before their support of the American people. Brian Kolfage is taking the cost of the wall to the American people, having raised more than $560,000 in less than 48 hours to give to the President for his wall.
Democrats be damned. If they won’t spend our tax dollars on border security, we will get it another way, as the President says.
Illegal immigration costs the United States tens of billions of dollars annually.
That’s the low end of credible estimates. Everyone recognizes — socialists, globalists, and thoughtless people aside — but the necessity of immigration reform, yet it never seem to happen.
The costs of a southern border wall will be quickly recouped as the tide of illegal immigration dwindles. On Fox News this morning, Karl Rove’s whiteboard reflects that for the FY19 budget, illegal immigration will cost the US $4.407 trillion dollars. The border wall that Trump is demanding funding for will cost 0.0005 Trillion. Or five billion dollars.
Democrat resistance to the Wall has nothing to do with money. And everything to do with resisting Donald J. Trump.
The Cost of Illegal Immigration to the United States
FAIR (Federation for Immigration Reform) reports on the cost of Illegal Immigration to the US:
At the federal, state, and local levels, taxpayers shell out approximately $134.9 billion to cover the costs incurred by the presence of more than 12.5 million illegal aliens, and about 4.2 million citizen children of illegal aliens.
That amounts to a tax burden of approximately $8,075 per illegal alien family member and a total of $115,894,597,664.
The total cost of illegal immigration to U.S. taxpayers is both staggering and crippling. In 2013, FAIR estimated the total cost to be approximately $113 billion. So, in under four years, the cost has risen nearly $3 billion. This is a disturbing and unsustainable trend.
We, the People, will fund the Wall
A recent Rasmussen Reports survey shows that more than one-in-five of voters (21%) would privately contribute funding for a border wall. Fighting Democratic resistance and other obstructionists, private citizens are already contributing to Brian Kolfage’s Go Fund Me account. The goal is $1 billion, and in less than two days they have raised more than $500,000. There’s still a long way to go, but let’s see how the effort is doing by the start of the 116th Congress.
Like a majority of those American citizens whose votes elected President Donald J Trump, a man willing to Make America Great Again. President Trump’s campaign promise included a stronger economy, job and to build the wall at America’s Southern border to stem the tide of illegal immigrants, terrorists, criminals and drugs.
The President has made progress on every campaign promise so far, except the wall project.
Brian Kolfage is a USAF veteran who has given much to his country. Including 3 limbs. One arm. Two legs. On the Build the Wall Go Fund Me Page Kolfage writes:
I feel deeply invested to this nation to ensure future generations have everything we have today. Too many Americans have been murdered by illegal aliens and too many illegals are taking advantage of the United States taxpayers with no means of ever contributing to our society.
I have grandparents who immigrated to America legally, they did it the correct way and it’s time we uphold our laws, and get this wall BUILT!It’s up to Americans to help out and pitch in to get this project rolling.
“If the 63 million people who voted for Trump each pledge $80, we can build the wall.” That equates to roughly 5Billion Dollars, even if we get half, that’s half the wall. We can do this.
Democrats are going to stall this project by every means possible and play political games to ensure President Trump doesn’t get his victory. They’d rather see President Trump fail than see America succeed. However, if we can fund a large portion of this wall, it will jumpstart things and will be less money Trump has to secure from our politicians.
This won’t be easy, but it’s our duty as citizens. This needs to be shared every single day by each of you on social media. We can do it, and we can help President Trump make America safe again!
Go Fund Me becoming a popular way to support personal politics
During the recent Senate Judiciary Committee hearings to elevate Judge Brett Kavanaugh to Justice Brett Kavanaugh, Go Fund Me pages were started for both Christine Blasey Ford and Brett Kavanaugh.
Justice Kavanaugh did not take the money (which eclipsed more than $700,000 at one time) responding (as he legally had to) to the efforts on his behalf saying:
“Justice Kavanaugh did not authorize the use of his name to raise funds in connection with the GoFundMe campaign. He was not able to do so for judicial ethics reasons. Judicial ethics rules caution judges against permitting the use of the prestige of judicial office for fund-raising purposes. Justice Kavanaugh will not accept any proceeds from the campaign, nor will he direct that any proceeds from the campaign be provided to any third party. Although he appreciates the sentiment, Justice Kavanaugh requests that you discontinue the use of his name for any fund-raising purpose.”
The fundraiser who started the account offered to return donations or make a donation of the dollars raised,
Brett Kavanaugh rather famously coached girls’ basketball there and if the Kavanaugh family were allowed to support a charity, I feel confident the Archdiocese of Washington would be near the top of the list. After talking to the Archdiocese of Washington about the best way to use the funds to help the sort of kids Brett Kavanaugh has been working with, we’re going to split the money between three of their programs: The Catholic Youth Organization (CYO), the Tuition Assistance Fund, and the Victory Youth Center.
Ford Blasey did cash in. Blasey aying she was using the money to cover the costs of her participation in the hearings. Blasey Ford posted the following but there has been no update as to whether donations where made or to who.
“All funds unused after completion of security expenditures will be donated to organizations that support trauma survivors. I am currently researching organizations where the funds can best be used. We will use this space to let you know when that process is complete.”
