NEW YORK, March 7, 2014 — CBME China is the world’s largest trade expo for baby, children, and maternity products and this year they’re launching a new trade show called Cool Kids Fashion. The show will be July 22-24, 2014 at Shanghai new international Expo Center in China. It will bring together world-renowned brands and up-and-coming designers of children’s fashion in a 4000 sqm space.
Visitors of this exclusive trade event will include distributors, franchisees, commercial property developers, fashion buyers, shopping center owners, department stores and more. Cool Kids Fashion will also feature a fashion museum, kids fashion runway, and educational sessions that include Fashion Talk and Trend Forums.
Cool Kids Fashion is bringing together media, distributors, brands, and designers in order to create an environment that will introduce new retail concepts to international brands that are actively seeking to enter the China market. The expo will also be creating many new business opportunities.
“In the recent China’s Children’s Wear Industry Report, the market volume for children’s wear in China is over RMB 100 billion (US$16.4 billion), and is still growing at 25%-30% every year. A lot of fashion brands have their eye on China, we are providing them with a platform to promote their brands, connect with distributors and get a foothold into China market.” says Athena Gong, General Manager, UBM China (Hangzhou). “CBME China has already established the reputation in the children and baby products sector as annual must-attend trade sourcing event. With Cool Kids Fashion, we provide fashion brands and up-and-coming designers a trendy children fashion trade event in China to showcase their collection and be seen with their peers in the fashion industry. Cool Kids Fashion will be the dominant platform gateway for any brand looking to reach China’s trendy fashion apparel market. It is an extraordinary platform for presenting new lifestyle and fashion trends for kids.”
Cool Kids Fashion expo is making waves in America as well. “This type of international attention to children’s fashion demonstrates the rising global appetite for customized children’s attire and accessories as a burgeoning niche” said Jennifer Ganz, Creative Director for LiveUrStory Studios. “Although LiveUrStory is based in the United States, our ultimate goal is to have global reach. Milestones such as the Cool Kids Fashion Expo in China substantiates the need for fashion that provides expression and voice for children. With our combined fashion and media platform we hope to be able to connect children around the world with a passion and flair for fashion.”
Brands that are interested in joining the expo can submit it in application with company information to the Cool Kids Fashion Technical Committee. The technical committee will review all submissions and contact the companies that have been approved according to the spaces available. All brands must include products targeting child fashion between the ages of 0-16 years of age.
