What does Antifa’s domestic terrorists designation mean?

Conservatives are not fascists just because they are conservative. Regardless the 1st Amendment gives them the right to peacefully assemble and speak.

WASHINGTON September 4, 2017 – The Department of Homeland Security has classified Antifa’s actions during protests in Berkeley, California, Charlottesville and during the Presidents inauguration as “domestic terrorist violence.”  State and local officials have been receiving warnings from authorities since early 2016 that leftist extremists known as “Antifa” had become increasingly confrontational and dangerous before the August 12 rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.

This leads to questions as to why Charlottesville Mayor Michael Signer (D) allowed the group’s deadly assembly and its confrontations with white supremacist and nationalist groups?.

Some law enforcement is blaming President Trump for the rise of the group that is allegedly funded by globalist George Soros. But is that where the blame for this violent group whose only purpose is to stymie free speech lies?

“It was in that period [as the Trump campaign emerged] that we really became aware of them,” said one senior law enforcement official tracking domestic extremists told Politico. “These Antifa guys were showing up with weapons, shields and bike helmets and just beating the shit out of people. … They’re using Molotov cocktails, they’re starting fires, they’re throwing bombs and smashing windows.”

The question continues, just because the left that is funding the domestic terrorism does not agree with conservatives politics that is taking us from the socialist and globalist vision of President Obama, Hillary Clinton, John Podesta, and George Soros, to name a few, does that equate all “white” people as being fascist supremacists?

The logical answer to that question is no. The actions of Antifa are not against fascism, but against the conservative political group that won in November 2016.

Released documents disclose that by April 2016, months before Trump’s winning the White House, authorities believed that “anarchist extremists” were the primary instigators of violence against police, government and political institutions, along with symbols of “the capitalist system,” racism, social injustice, and fascism” according to a confidential 2016 joint intelligence assessment by DHS and the FBI.

As President Trump connected with the American people, winning the nomination from among a field of 17 would-be candidates, Antifa stepped up its tactics against supporters of the Republican candidate.

Antifa believes it is pursuing the opposite of authoritarianism opposing the very notion of a centralized state when that is exactly what they fight for. Destroying First Amendment rights of the few and the many, the group has assumed the authority to decide who and when Americans may publically assemble, creating violent protests to shut down conservative speakers at colleges and threaten conservative politicians, such as the shooting of Rep. Steve Scalise.

Media reports have shown that Antifa shows up with weapons, shields and bike helmets with the goal to physically attack protestors. Of late, their targets have included the KKK and white supremacy groups in Charlottesville as wells as peaceful pro-Trump gatherings, journalists and people attending Trump events.

Despite their terrorist tactics including wearing masks, throwing bricks and Molotov cocktails, attacking people with pepper spray and physically attacking people, some disagree with the domestic terrorist labeling.

According to Section 802 of the USA PATRIOT Act (Pub. L. No. 107-52) the definition of terrorism as domestic terrorism, or the person as a domestic terrorist as:

A person engages in domestic terrorism if they do an act “dangerous to human life” that is a violation of the criminal laws of a state or the United States, if the act appears to be intended to:  (i) intimidate or coerce a civilian population; (ii) influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or (iii) to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination or kidnapping.  Additionally, the acts have to occur primarily within the territorial jurisdiction of the United States and if they do not, may be regarded as international terrorism.

The USA PATRIOT Act expanded governmental powers to investigate terrorism, and some of these powers are applicable to domestic terrorism.

The mayor of Berkeley, California, who allowed Antifa groups to wage violence on the schools campus, wants to classify Antifa as a “gang,” versus a terrorist group despite the fact that the anti-fascists have assumed the authority to decide which Americans may publicly assemble and which may not; despite that they stand against our Constitution and that they stand against our First Amendment rights to peacefully assemble and free speech and is contrary to the very democratic foundation of the United States.

Anti-facists warriors have a long history of fighting against fascism dating back to the 1920s and ’30s, when the fight was on the streets of Germany, Italy, and Spain and the fascist regimes of Adolf Hitler of Germany, Benito Mussolini of Italy and Emperor Hirohito of Japan.

Beyond Europe, support for fascism was greatest in South Africa, where several groups were founded in the early 1930s, including the Gentile National Socialist Movement and its splinter group, the South African Fascists; the South African National Democratic Party, known as the Blackshirts; and the pro-German Ox-Wagon Sentinel (Ossewabrandwag).

In the Middle East at least seven Arab “shirt” movements had developed by 1939 including the Syrian People’s Party, also called the Syrian National Socialist Party; the Iraqi Futuwa movement; and the Young Egypt movement, also called the Green Shirts.

After the Berlin Wall fell, neo-Nazism also gained prominence in Germany following the fall of the Berlin Wall in November 1989. it was then that young leftists, including many anarchists and punk fans, revived the tradition of street-level anti-fascism.

In the United States the Ku Klux Klan, a white Democrat funded supremacist organization founded at the end of the Civil War displayed some fascist characteristics. Of those groups, in the early 1930s, the Black Legion, had some 60,000 members that would commit acts of arson and bombing. The KKK has long been vilified by people who identify as Republicans and Democrat.  President Trump, who Antifa alleges is a “white supremacist, KKK, racist, and fascist, has repeatedly stated, as a private citizen, presidential candidate and as President, that he disavows the legitimacy of the KKK and white supremacist groups.

Unfortunately, that does not stop the group or its Democrat supporters from violently protesting the President who does not fit the definition of a fascist. With their lack of historical knowledge, it is Antifa, its supporters in the Democrat party, and globalist George Soros that fit the definition (Vocabulary.com)

Fascist traces to the Italian word fascio, meaning “group, bundle.” Under fascist rule, the emphasis is on the group, the nation, with few individual rights. You must support the ruling party’s views on society, politics, and culture, or else. The term was used by Italian political leader Benito Mussolini under his totalitarian, anti-communist government. The word can describe someone who supports fascism or whose behavior is so stern and controlling that it seems like he does.

There is not one legitimate conservative group that is demanding that anyone adopt conservative values. Unfortunately for the left, the majority of Americans voted for the Republican candidate in an upswell anti-Hillary Clinton sentiment.

Declaring leftists as enemies of the state is not new.

During the 1930s, Catholic priest Charles E. Coughlin, an early supporter of President Roosevelt and the New Deal, began anti-democratic and anti-Semitic national radio broadcasts called Social Justice. In 1942 Social Justice was found guilty of violating the Espionage Act.

People, citizens, and politicians quick to blame Trump’s claim that he is responsible for “creating a situation that has escalated so quickly and extensively that [law enforcement authorities] do not have a handle on it.”

“Both the racists and a segment of violent Antifa counter-protestors are amped for battle in an escalating arms race, where police departments are outmaneuvered, resulting in increasingly violent dangerous confrontations,” former New York City police officer Brian Levin said in an interview with Politico. Levin has been monitoring domestic militants for over 30 years and is now at the Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism at California State University, San Bernardino.

“It’s an orchestrated dance. The rallies spill over into social media and then, even more, people show up at the next rally primed for violent confrontation.”

By the spring of 2016, the DHS and FBI began to look into whether Antifa would be able to carry out terrorist bombings at the Republican and Democratic conventions; while the Republican convention was without a significant instance, the Democrat convention in Philadelphia was beset with violent protests, many in protest of the DNC weighting the nomination toward Hillary Clinton, discounting the candidacy of Senator Bernie Sanders:

USA Today wrote:

PHILADELPHIA—As President Barack Obama took the stage at the Democratic National Convention inside the Wells Fargo Center on Wednesday night, a chaotic situation erupted nearby that led to seven arrests.

Protesters stormed security barricades at 10:50 p.m. outside the center where the convention was being held, prompting some police officers to take out batons. No one appeared to be struck.

The U.S, Secret Service said seven people entered through the outer perimeter fence and into a Secret Service designated secure zone. They were detained without incident by Philadelphia police and are expected to be federally charged with entering a restricted area.

A DHS and FBI April 2016 assessment predicted that Antifa would become more dangerous if “fascist, nationalist, racist or anti-immigrant parties obtain greater prominence or local political power in the United States.”

What is being missed, is that those parties, represented by the KKK, have long been a part of America and while their rights to peacefully assemble have long been protected, Antifa is giving that fringe of America new strength to rise up and fight back. They are, by their actions of violence, creating new movements and propelling violence and dividing our nation.

For those who align themselves with the Antifa movement, understanding the root of fascism and that their actions are the very definition of fascism will become increasingly important. With our three branches of government and term limits, fascism has not and will not burrow into the U.S. government. With this new ruling, that education may become important if they wish to avoid Federal prosecution for their crimes as the domestic terrorist designation stops liberal judges from charging them with misdemeanors or ignoring their crimes.

Because liberals and Geroge Soros may have sent them to the protest, but they are not going to save them from jail.
