Score after the Iran deal: Iran 1, World 0
SAN ANTONIO – JULY 22 – The Obama administration, using an end run around Congress, received approval of their horrendous deal with Iran from the international community at the United Nations. The effect of the UN authorizing this deal is that all of the sanctions that were imposed upon Iran will now be quickly phased out. Regardless how Congress votes, the most damning parts of the deal are here to stay. Congress no longer will have any say in retaining the only thing that brought Iran to the table in the first place – the crippling economic sanctions imposed by the United Nations.
This disdain Obama and his fellow leftists feel for our country and our government was made even more clear with this disgraceful act, but Obama and his cronies got exactly what they wanted – and so did Iran.
Obama got his deal but what did Iran get?
- Iran got a signing bonus of 150 billion dollars. The GDP of the entire country was 414 billion dollars in 2014;
- Iran also gets the immediate removal of almost every economic sanction, meaning that Iran is open for business – and Russia, China and others are begging to be the first customers;
- The deal included no enforceable restrictions imposed on Iran’s nuclear production and it’s 19,000 nuclear centrifuges will continue to spin. Iran is on the honor system;
- This deal placed no restrictions upon Iran’s terrorist funding activities;
- This deal placed no restrictions on Iran’s repeated and constant cries for the utter annihilation of the Western World (particularly America and Israel);
- Iran was not required to destroy it’s underground nuclear facility that could withstand even the most powerful bunker-busting bombs the American military has;
- There were no requirements that Iran release the American citizens that have been languishing in their prisons/death camps for years;
- There were no requirements that Iran destroy and forever discontinue their ICBM program (intercontinental ballistic missile program). The sole purpose of the program is to create a long range missile with the ability to carry a nuclear warhead to the shores of America; and,
- Finally, Iran gets a 24 day grace period beginning the day that the United States requests to inspect a facility before any inspections would ever occur, and under no circumstances will America be able to inspect any facility (nuclear or otherwise) that located on military premises.
When Americans hear things like the fact that Obama chose the same lead negotiator for the Iran negotiations, Wendy Sherman, that Bill Clinton used to lead the failed North Korea nuclear negotiations, it makes Donald Trump sound extremely rational/ Many actions and decisions by our current leaders – like choosing this same failed negotiator – can lead to only one conclusion: that our current leaders are very stupid and naive.
It should also be noted that Iran has never abided by any agreement they have ever made since 1979 when Iran’s leadership was taken over by the crazed jihadis that now rule that country.
Why should we be concerned that Iran might use the nuclear weapon it is intent on building, despite Obama’s trust in the Ayatollah?
Unlike North Korea, the supreme leader of Iran (Ayatollah Khomeni) adheres to a sect of Shiite Islam called, “Twelver Shiism.” Twelvers believe that near the time of Muhammad’s life, a series of imams was appointed to carry on the Prophet Muhammad’s message, ranking above all other prophets except for Muhammad himself. The 12th, Muhammad al-Mahdi, is claimed to have been born in present-day Iraq in 869 and never to have died, only to have gone into hiding. They also believe that al-Mahdi will return as a messiah to bring peace to the world and establish Islam as the ruling faith across the globe.
The apocalyptic catch? The Mahdi is expected to return when the world is wracked in utter chaos and war. They also believe that they have a duty to create this chaos and war across the globe that will bring about the return of their messiah and the reign of Islam across the planet.
Let’s unpack that for one second, shall we? The supreme leader of Iran has lived his entire life believing that if he can create enough chaos and war across the globe his messiah shall return to the earth and force Islam upon all the living creatures on the planet. He desires this more than all the riches and wealth in the world. He has a very strong track record of lying and breaking international agreements in order to continue building nuclear weapons. He and his henchmen have stated publicly that they will use the nuclear bomb to annihilate Israel and the United States. Iran’s terrorist proxy group, Hezbollah, has placed the mushroom cloud very prominently on their flag.
When viewed through the lens of reality, this deal places America and its’ allies in grave danger and will be seen as a historic mistake.
This disgraceful appeasement the Obama administration has foolishly engaged in with a deceitful, vicious, and plainly anti-American regime should harken us back to the words of President Reagan in his famous speech titled, “A Time for Choosing,” given in 1964. It is an utter shame that the following words still hold so much relevance and truth – and have been ignored – more than fifty years later. Reagan stated: “Those who would trade our freedom for the soup kitchen of the welfare state have told us they have a utopian solution of peace without victory. They call their policy “accommodation.” And they say if we’ll only avoid any direct confrontation with the enemy, he’ll forget his evil ways and learn to love us…”
Reagan went on: “… this is the specter our well-meaning liberal friends refuse to face—that their policy of accommodation is appeasement, and it gives no choice between peace and war, only between fight or surrender. If we continue to accommodate, continue to back and retreat, eventually we have to face the final demand—the ultimatum… Where, then, is the road to peace? Well it’s a simple answer after all. You and I have the courage to say to our enemies, “There is a price we will not pay. There is a point beyond which they must not advance.”
This deal that Obama has conceded to a regime that wants to annihilate America, has given Iranians the authority, the right, and the ability to easily pass beyond the point which most of us would never have allowed them to reach – the attainment of a nuclear weapon. Before Obama’s deal America had two choices: war with Iran without the nuclear bomb, or war with a nuclear Iran – on Iran’s terms.
America no longer holds her destiny in her own hands; however, there is one man with the strength, fortitude, and courage that can, and almost assuredly will, make sure that Iran does not achieve their goal of obtaining a nuclear weapon and bringing havoc and destruction to the Western World – Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu.
When the terms of Obama’s deal were announced earlier this month, Netanyahu had the following to say, which should be quite comforting to anyone who believes the overwhelming evidence that Iran intends to use the nuclear bomb:
““From the initial reports received, it is already possible to say that this agreement is a historic mistake for the world. This agreement and what it means endanger many countries including, of course, Israel,” Netanyahu said, adding that “Israel is not bound by this agreement. The Iranian regime is committed to the destruction of Israel and Israel has the right and the obligation to defend itself, by itself, against any threat. As Prime Minister of Israel, I would like to make it clear: Israel will not allow Iran to develop a military nuclear capability.”
Due to this deal Obama has made, the fate of the free world may lie in the hands of the leader of a country no larger than the state of Delaware. Fortunately, Netanyahu understands -because it has happened to the Jews before – when someone tells you they want to annihilate you – believe them.
Douglas Murray, author and leader of the Henry Jackson Society in England, perfectly described how the world will react when Israel is forced to act:
“When Israel is pushed to the situation it will be pushed to – into having to believe they (the Iranians) mean it (that Iran will use the nuclear bomb), and all the jiggery pokery behind the scenes runs out, and Iran is about to produce its first bomb – Israel will strike and every single country will condemn Israel. Everyone in the middle east will condemn Israel – and everyone will go back to their homes and they will say in private, “thank god, for Israel,” and they will say “thank god they did it, because nobody else would.”Click here for reuse options!
