CHARLOTTE, NC, November 20, 2014 – Whenever a debate arises between Islam and Christianity, there are three responses that almost always develop.
The first is a comparison of Islamic jihad with the Crusades.
Next comes a statement where Islamic apologists claim that the Bible is every bit as bloody as the Koran.
In each case, the similarities are apples to oranges, but never let facts get in the way of truth. Islamists will refute the above statements to the point of inciting a riot, but reality speaks for itself.
Case in point are recent statistics published by CNS News regarding Muslim terrorist killings in 2013. The numbers are astonishing, and they should provide ample evidence against the so-called “religion of peace.’’
In 2013, nearly 18,000 people around the globe died as the result of terrorist violence. The actual number is 17,958, or an average of 1,500 terrorist deaths per month!
According to CNS, four Muslim groups were responsible for 66% of those killings. Therefore, doing simple math, four Islamic groups accounted for almost 12,000 deaths last year. Divided among them, that comes to 3,000 people per group.
Now ask yourself if there can honestly be any logical comparison between Islamic terror and Timothy McVeigh.
The total number of deaths in 2013 rose by 60% from 11,133 in 2012 to 17,958 last year. It does not take a rocket scientist to see terrorism is increasing at an alarming rate.
Apologists will look at the numbers and argue that 88% of those fatalies occurred in just five countries; Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nigeria and Syria. As if we in the West are supposed to be ecstatic that only 12% of the world’s terrorism happened elsewhere.
The problem for apologists however, is that all five of the countries where most of the terrorism took place are predominantly Islamic. But as Barack “give-illegal-immigrants-amnesty’’ Obama says, “the Islamic State’’ has nothing to do with Islam and “too many Palestinians have died.’’
In addition, the number of countries that endured 50 or more terror related deaths in 2013 increased to 24, nine more than in 2012.
Unsurprisingly, the study also showed that poverty is a key catalyst for terrorism. Muhammad himself created Islam as an outlet for the poor citizens of Mecca to have a religion of their own.
Therefore, Islam as we know it today is nothing more than an outgrowth of the prophet’s original intentions. Muhammad felt victimized by the Jews and Christians of his home city and reached out to the poor and disenfranchised with a faith in which they could find solace. Victimization is, and has been, a primary source of Islamic ideology since the beginning. Islamic political correctness thrives on victimization.
The report also states that religion is by far a greater motivator for terrorist groups than politics. In the case of Islam however, religion and politics are inseperable. Given that they are one and the same within a single faith, is it any wonder that Islam is responsible for most of the terrorism throughout the world in any given year?
Also among the terrorism index by the Institute for Economics and Peace was a statistic that the “driving ideology for terrorism’’ has jumped significantly in the last five years. Furthermore, it accounts for all of the terror activity in the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa.
Call it coincidence or a conspiracy theory or whatever other definition you choose, but those figures align perfectly with the time that Barack Obama has been President of the United States and his hands-off cowardly and confusing approach to foreign policy.
A weak United States is nothing more than a catalyst for those who would do evil around the world to expand precisely as they have done since Obama took office.
Voters finally took notice of the president’s ineptitude and corruption and sent a message to Washington early this month. Obama said he heard the message, but the smartest man in the world was not listening as evidenced by his latest dictatorial edict on amnesty.
In Obamaworld ISIS is not part of Islam because the president doesn’t want it to be. And what Barack wants, Barack gets, no matter how he achieves it.
Perhaps if you are a Muslim the term “religion of peace’’ is accurate. But never ever attempt to make comparisons between Islam and any other religion. The numbers cited above do not lie.
