Fighting terrorism requires strength, not Teddy Bears.

CHARLOTTE, NC, March 24, 2016 – The time for solidarity marches, candlelight vigils and stuffed animals is over. Put your earmuffs on to drown out the trite repetitive responses from the politically correct about Islam and terrorism and let’s really get down to business.

Raheem Kassam, Editor in Chief of Breitbart London, has had enough. Kassam is tired of the usual drivel that emerges after terrorist attack. He is fed up with meaningless symbolism. He is weary of the West’s namby-pamby approach to Islam which is to constantly remind us that it is only a small number of “radical extremists” who are killing and maiming hundreds of thousands of innocent people by “hijacking” one of the world’s great religions.

Immigration, ISIS terrorism, NATO and Trump

Writes Kassam, “nowadays, teddy bears are the new resolve. They symbolize everything we have become in response to our way of life being threatened, and our people being slaughtered on our streets: inanimate, squishy, and full of crap.”

President Barack Obama used to grudgingly make a statement after each terrorist event. He repeated it so often he had it memorized. Now it barely registers. He continues with business as usual as though nothing ever happened.

“Our security services and our police, hamstrung by political correctness, are just as interested (or more?) in rounding up Twitter ‘hate speech’ offenders than criminal, rapist, or terrorist migrants,” adds Kassam. “Our borders are as porous as our brains. We refuse to realize that there are now literally millions of people among us who hate us. Who hate our way of life, and who will, one day, dominate our public life.

“But of course, such statements are dismissed as fear-mongering, alarmist, or ‘out of touch with reality’. As if the data doesn’t exist, or the demographics aren’t shifting quickly enough to notice.”

Everyone needs to get a few things straight. Even many of those who actually admit there is a problem. The term “radical Islam” is as redundant as saying “ATM machine.” When you call it an “ATM machine” you are actually saying “Automatic Teller Machine machine.” Only one machine is sufficient.

Similarly, Islam IS radical. There is no such thing as “radical Islam.” It is simply “Islam.” Read the texts. Read the Koran. Read the Hadith. It is all there in black and white and has been for 14 centuries.

“Extremists” may be extreme by Western standards but they are merely living the teachings of their prophet as he put them down in the Koran. In their minds they are not “extreme”, they are true believers.

Therefore the ONLY way to be a “good Muslim” is to be, in the eyes of the West a “bad Muslim”, which means that being a “moderate Muslim” is an oxymoron.

There may be Muslims who have no desire to kill, slaughter and maim, but in the minds and hearts of true believers they are just as much “unbelievers” as Christians, Jews and even Muslims who disagree with their particular interpretation of the faith.

Islam is not a religion as we know it. Islam is a total way of life. There is no separation between church and state. Islam IS the state.

Islam and Trump: Controversies are just beginning

None of that has been “hijacked.” The Prophet Muhammad was a warrior who either fought or sent his armies into more than 80 battles during the last decade of his life. between the years 622 and 632.

They happened.

They had nothing to do with “hijacking” anything.

As Raheem Kassam puts it, “we will now think deeply about how we can “reach out” to these populations. How we can ‘co-exist’ and ‘be tolerant’ of one another. As if toleration is a healthy aspiration for a society.

“It is as if we model our countries on the practice of bending over and ‘taking one for the team’, chastising those who fail to ‘tolerate’ the most barbaric traditions of alien cultures.”

The true solution will not be simple. The task will not be easy. It will go against everything that Westerners believe separates us from the animalistic cruelty of our enemies. It will be distasteful, but IF we are to succeed it must be done.

“In order to confront this question, we have to get to the root cause of the problem,” writes Kassam. “And yes, that does mean exactly what you think it means. It means ending mass migration. It means smashing apart ghettos and no go zones. It means repealing laws that allow for Sharia councils. It means asserting what it means to be British, or European, or American, without fearing a backlash from the political left, or the media classes.

“Let them riot. Let them cry.”

Put the Teddy bears away. Snuff out the candles. The only thing a terrorist understands is strength.

The time has come to wake up and fight back and STOP making excuses for our enemies.
