Top Rank stages a news conference live in Los Angeles to announce Pacquiao's comeback bout after his loss to Floyd Mayweather with Bradley.
LOS ANGELES, January 18, 2016 – Top Rank Promotions formally announces its upcoming bout between eight-division champion Manny Pacquiao of the Philippines and welterweight titleholder Timothy Bradley Jr. on April 9 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The bout will be the main event of an HBO PPV card.
The deal was initially announced in late December. In their first two bouts, Bradley won a highly disputed split decision victory. In the rematch, Pacquiao won a unanimous decision.
Manny Pacquiao is coming off a unanimous decision loss against Floyd Mayweather in the so-called “Fight of the Century” last April. Timothy Bradley Jr. recently won via knockout against an out of shape Brandon Rios, under his new trainer Teddy Atlas.
