CHARLOTTE, N.C., January 9, 2015 — If there really is a war on terror, the West is fighting it as isolated battles rather than as a war against a dedicated enemy.

Some analysts say it does not matter that President Obama fails to acknowledge the gravity of the Islamic extremism. That is not true. It does matter.

The strength of any country at any given time emanates from the top. If Obama refuses to denounce Islamic jihad, then the rest of the world sees jihad as unimportant to the U.S. Without a strong American leader, there can be no acceptable challenge to those who threaten our security, no matter how many drones we use to pummel them.

President Reagan was perceived as a “hawk“ who would readily push the red button if necessary. That image carried considerable weight and was a contributing factor to the fall of the Soviet Union.

The same is true in Washington today, only the difference is that our president is seen as a marshmallow; that is a detriment not only to U.S., but to all of Western civilization.

The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) issued a report about a new online guide for Jihadi mothers about how to indoctrinate their children into becoming killers. Not only is the article terrifying, it goes to the foundation of the challenge we face in the West in dealing with Islamic extremism.

According to MEMRI, the handbook “recommends showing children jihadi websites, reading jihad tales before bed, practicing sports that require good hand-eye coordination, like darts, and going on camping trips to teach the children how to survive outdoors.”

The guide adds, “Don’t underestimate the lasting effect of what those little ears and eyes take in during the first few years of life!”

If this is what terrorists believe, and it is part of their internal strategy to brainwash their own children before they are out of diapers, then consider the impact that similar lessons had on Obama as a youth. His formative years were spent in an Islamic environment.

Consider, then, the president’s own policies on Israel and his response to every Middle Eastern crisis that has arisen during his presidency. His actions are almost certainly the result of that early upbringing.

It matters little whether you call them “liberal” or “politically correct,” Obama’s policies are detrimental to the safety and security of American citizens and the people of other Western nations.

The Charlie Hebdo attacks were not on American soil, but they occurred because France, like the United States, continues to combat the overriding totality of the cancer of terrorism by approaching individual situations on an individual basis.

“It is important for the West to understand that all these groups want the world to know that this indoctrination is taking place,” said MEMRI.

They are spitting in our faces because we dare not challenge them.

MEMRI continues, “No matter what happens in Iraq and Syria in the near future, the next generation – the children of Baghdadi and grandchildren of bin Laden – have already been brainwashed to hate the West and to strive for jihad and martyrdom.

“They have been trained on the battlefield and know how to create bombs and suicide belts and to behead and crucify the innocent. This is something we must be prepared for and understand.”

Jihadis refer to their junior recruits as “lion cubs.”

In addition to the evil image they portray of the West, extremists also teach children about humanitarian services for Muslims. The result is that kids grow believing Islam is pure because of its compassion for others.

Perhaps the most revolting aspect of Islamic childhood propaganda is teaching them to re-enact major atrocities, such as the beheading of American photojournalist James Foley.

When the kids are not role playing, they sometimes attend public executions where they are given front row seats. If they get spattered with blood, so much the better.

These are not tales of fiction from some Hollywood script. They are happening on a daily basis throughout the Middle East.

Terror does not take time off for golfing holidays. It is a never-ending, perpetual ideology. Just because the Paris attacks are over for now does not mean there are not more on the horizon.

One day soon, those attacks will return to the U.S. When they do, there will first be “surprise,” followed by the “fear of a Muslim backlash,” then thousands of questions which will be answered by mindless speculation before the president will “condemn” the actions and assure us that he is on top of it all.

Meanwhile, somewhere in the Middle East night, children are being read bedtime stories on how to kill innocent people they know nothing about except from others who have also been indoctrinated to hate.
