The President’s reluctant Tango

The President’s reluctant Tango

Nero played the fiddle while Rome burned, and Obama dances in Argentina while Brussels burns. He'll fight ISIS and islamic terrorism by having a good time, no matter what.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., March 24, 2016 — What a picture! President Obama is now dancing his way across Argentina.

It’s only right that he take his beautiful daughters on spring break, and that he not bring the party down by overreacting to a few dead people at a Brussels airport. After all, as we know, there’s an ocean separating Europe and America.

Why are we so surprised at the attacks in Brussels? We were warned

Those liquid borders to Canada and Mexico? They’re a sign of America’s heart, of our values and of our willingness to turn the other cheek, even as others consider smiting it, to borrow a biblical term.

The Brussels bombing afforded Barry and Hillary the opportunity to react once again as the adults in the room, to criticize the Ted/Donald cowboy statements. Vetted in the Harvard hot house, Obama and Clinton know better than to raise their voices to ethnic terrorists.

They count on the world community and alliances to weed out the bad guys.

Apparently, Harvard was unsuccessful with Candidate Cruz in imparting their even-handed, egalitarian view of American values. He’s clearly jumped the shark, meeting Trump on the high point of the arc. He and Trump have uttered those verboten words, “water-boarding” and “torture.” They seem overly concerned about Christian decapitations, religious relic ruinations, and most recently, the Brussels attacks.

If they were Obama and Clinton, they’d get the whole anti-colonial thing. They’d understand that while sometimes “payback’s a bitch,” a certain amount of leveling in the world order won’t hurt.

After all, President Obama began his sojourn in the American cat-bird seat by returning the bust of Sir Winston Churchill to England.

Who needs some white guy, warmonger, imperialist looking down his nose at the newly minted chief executive?

As the Democrats look the other way as terrorists — can they say “Islamic?” — explode their bombs and make their threats (next stop a nuclear facility, anybody?), the GOP, that’s the “government of the people,” folks, works to subvert its own internal candidate selection.

They eschew the current attack on political correctness. They druther walk softly and carry no stick.

The too-honest roughness of candidates Cruz and Trump is unsettling, to say the least.

The Establishment, Obama, Clinton and the GOP, would have us go on as before, when it comes to the so-called “War on Terrorism.” Explode a few more drones over Yemen, close Gitmo, add more undocumented workers to the American dole and continue on in genteel “Harvard Kennedy School of Government-Speak.”

Terror attack leaves 31 dead in Belgium

At all times, John (who-fought–in-Vietnam) Kerry, appear erudite and non-flappable.

By all means, continue with your spring break. Never overreact. Don’t take time away from your critically important global change agenda to note except in passing the dead Americans in Brussels.

A few tourists here or there, after all, do not a foreign policy make. As Barry flashes his famous smile at a South American baseball game and Hillary takes her shots at the Cowboy Republicans, Americans continue to dance a reluctant tango, fearful of what might happen once the music stops.
