Obama’s ‘Islamic terrorism’ rhetoric: Pure sophistry

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina, June 19, 2016 – Whenever Barack Obama gets angry, he takes to the microphone to scold both his opponents and the American people as if they were children.

Following the Orlando shootings—after several days of dithering as to whether he and Joe Biden should deign to visit Florida to console the families of the victims—Mr. Obama again demonstrated his true colors with a typically classless political commentary about gun control.

Earlier in the week, the president gave condescending sermon on the utter unimportance of employing the terms “Islamic terrorism” or “Islamic jihad” or “Islamism.”

The problem is, if those descriptive phrases are really so unimportant, then why make such an effort lecturing people not to say them? The answer is simple. Because those terms are important, and to utter them would be a clear indication that Mr. Obama and his cronies accept that global jihad is a menace to the world.

Ben Carson: Can Obama use martial law to keep White House post 2016

Robert Spencer of “Jihad Watch” calls Obama’s approach to the reality of world-wide Islamic jihad “willful ignorance” and cites an example of precisely how it works from the words of an Islamic analyst:

“I spent eight hours with a Midwest police force helping them understand about al-Qaida and the Islamic faith. After eight hours of talking to them a young woman walks up from the Obama administration from the Department of Homeland Security and says, ‘That’s all very interesting, but I disagree with all of it because the primary threat to Americans is white supremacists.’ ”

And there you have it. Out-and-out denial and a failure to accept what is staring us squarely in the face.

Sylvia Thompson is a black conservative (which, not so very long ago, was an oxymoron) who spends much of her time writing articles rebutting liberal talking points with regard to racial and cultural issues. In a recent editorial she took a swipe at the media’s misguided notions about what they regard as Barack Obama’s legacy. Thompson points out that, while this president’s legacy might be important to the press, Obama himself doesn’t even think about it.

In a powerfully worded comment that you have not heard or read anywhere else, Thompson said,

“To the many gullible souls out there who truly think that Barack Hussein Obama is ‘legacy building’ in his all-out assault on America, I implore you to bow out of the conversation because you are not seeing clearly.”

Thompson minces no words,  adding

“Everything that Barack Hussein Obama does is calculated to destroy America, which he despises. This man no more cares about legacy than he fears being properly prosecuted by the white political leaders whose responsibility it is to remove him from office.

“Ethnicity is an issue only because Obama is half-black and he uses that fact to intimidate guilt-conflicted white people.”

That Barack Obama has ridden the racial mantra of being the first black president in American history for more than seven years is no accident. Sylvia Thompson tells it like it really is. The unfortunate aspect of what she says, however, is that everything the president has done for his entire administration has been filled with half-truths, misdirection and out-and-out lies.

All of which means that the poison will continue to trickle down from the top. As long as Barack Obama is in office, nothing is going to change the “willful ignorance” of those who could put an end to global jihad.

So if Barack Obama doesn’t care about this life-threatening issue, then why should the FBI? As Robert Spencer notes,

“Because the FBI and other law enforcement agencies don’t study the motivating ideology behind jihad terror attacks.

“They do not know or care that the prophet of Islam, Muhammad says: ‘If you find anyone doing as Lot’s people did, kill the one who does it, and the one to whom it is done.’ (Abu Dawud 38:4447).”

For some absurd reason, what we do seem to care about is “what a terrorist’s wife had to do with his motivation” or “when and where was he radicalized” or “how did he get the weapons?” and on and on, muddying the truth with mindless trivia that gets us no closer to a solution. We must attack the ideology of the jihadists and not the individual perpetrators.

And that, Mr. Obama, is why it is necessary to identify the problem and proclaim precisely what it is.

Obama says Ramadan is a time of reflection; History says otherwise

It is true that protecting innocent Muslims is a worthwhile endeavor. But addressing the larger problem is more important at this crucial time in history.

“Obama has taken the trend to lawless, destructive extremes. He is fully aware that many of these invaders have no intention of assimilating,” writes Sylvia Thompson, adding

“Many, many Americans are thoroughly fed up with Barack Obama and the spineless crop of political leaders who ignore his criminality. It is yet unknown whether Republicans will ever garner the backbone to become a true opposition party and hold him accountable.”

Thus far, the Republicans seem to be as wishy-washy as the president. This does not bode well for the American people, a high percentage of whom continue to wallow in their “willful ignorance,” an ignorance that continues to be encouraged by this failed president, his cronies, and the media.
