Obama’s new EPA regulations take America down another notch or two

WASHINGTON, May 28, 2014 – Next week, the Environmental Protection Agency, also known as the Employment Elimination Agency is going to release new rules that are going to destroy the economy.

Next week, Barack Obama is going to begin his final solution against American prosperity.

It is time for the GOP to grow a pair.

The one thing that defines a prosperous, productive first world nation is the access to inexpensive, continuous power.  When Barack Obama was a candidate, he promised that he would pursue energy policies that would necessarily make electricity prices skyrocket.

Now he is doing that.

The new rules will punish the use of cheap fuels and force the use of expensive and unreliable energy sources like wind and solar.

Unfortunately for Obama, some of those energy sources he wants America to use may not be available.  Conservative groups, such as Waste in the Wind, are taking aim at the subsidies these alternative energies receive and this year may kill a number of them.

Obama hates America and hates American success.  He wants to see America taken down as an economic superpower and a military superpower. That point is not even debatable. Even liberals won’t fight that statement any longer.  They simply push through; hoping American will ignore what the adminstration is doing –– until it is too late.

Obama has appointed one anti-American radical after another to important positions.  Gina McCarthy, the radical head of the EPA may be among the worst and she is responsible for these new regulations.

Just as Obama promised, under these new regulations, the price of power will skyrocket. Economists discuss something called the ripple effect.  Actions ripple through the economy.

In this case, the ripples are as obvious as they are devastating.

When Americans are forced to pay more for energy to heat and cool their homes and to operate essential electronics, they will have less money for discretionary spending. The costs for businesses will skyrocket as well and businesses will have to compensate with higher prices.

Americans will be buying fewer items and the items they by will cost more.

Reduced consumer goods, ranging from clothes to electronics means that fewer Americans will be working.  According to the last statistics from the government, labor force participation is at an all time low.

The labor force today is the size it was when Jimmy Carter was President in 1978!

In 1978, the US population was 222 million.  In 2013, the US population was approximately 316 million.

In other words, America has added almost 100 million new Americans in the last thirty-six years but we have only the same number of jobs as we had when Jimmy Carter was destroying the economy!

The real question is, will the Republican Party finally grow a pair and stop this insanity?

Congress can, by a majority vote, repeal regulations but that also requires a Presidential signature or at least not a veto.

Unfortunately for America, the Republican Party in Washington is led by two of the most gutless politicians America has ever seen. They are House Speaker John Boehner and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor.

These two are too busy flying their freshly laundered white flag of surrender to do anything meaningful.

However, that should not stop the Republicans from trying.

The Republican Caucus should send a message to the White House.  If you impose these radical, economy-destroying regulations, the House will totally defund the EPA.

That is a game of high stakes poker.  The left will go bat guano crazy, claiming in the sympathetic left wing media that the Republicans simply want to poison Americans and kill children.

The truth is Obama and his cabal of radicals want to kill the American economy.

If the Republicans are going to make a stand, this is an issue to stand on.

If they are going to make a stand, they need to grow a pair and show some fight.

If they are not willing to fight, then we need to question why we even have a Republican Party.

Judson Phillips is the founder of Tea Party Nation, one of the largest Tea Party Groups in the country and the number one national tea party site on the Internet. A lawyer by profession, Judson has been involved in politics since his teens. “Ronald Reagan inspired me,” he says. Judson became involved in the Tea Party movement in February 2009 after hearing Rick Santelli’s rant on CNBC. “I heard there was going to be a Tea Party in Chicago inspired by Santelli, but didn’t know if anyone was doing a rally in Nashville where I was based. Finally I emailed Michelle Malkin and asked her if there was a Tea Party in Nashville. Malkin sent an email back saying, ‘No, why don’t you organize one?’ I did.” The first Tea Party in Nashville was held late February 2009 which drew a crowd of about 600. Judson then organized the Tax Day Tea Party in Nashville, which drew over 10,000 people into downtown. It was at this time that Tea Party Nation was formed. Later that year, Judson decided to bring activists from across the country together, so he organized the first National Tea Party Convention in February 2010, which featured Alaska’s former Governor and Republican Vice Presidential Nominee, Sarah Palin as it’s keynote speaker. He currently manages the Tea Party Nation website, writes several daily columns and is working on more projects than any one person should. He is a frequent guest on cable and broadcast news shows, including on Fox, MSNBC, CNN and others.
