ISIS propaganda magazine urges suicide ‘Mayhem’

CHARLOTTE, NC, September 5, 2014 – The third issue of “Dabiq” has just been released by the Islamic State in which it most notably justifies its reign of terror by citing the Koran and the words of the Prophet Muhammad.

While hardly earth-shattering news that ISIL would resort to such practices, it is clear from reports of “Dabiq’s” contents that its primary goal is to recruit misguided youthful ideologues from the West to unite with their cause.

Meanwhile, President Barack Obama and British Prime Minister David Cameron continue to insist that the Islamic State is NOT Islam.

Other analysts have expressed similar views regarding the atrocities of the Islamic State, and there are even growing fears throughout the Middle East that this new form of jihad even transcends their own boundaries.

That said, one need only read the Koran 47:4 to understand the justification behind the notable beheadings that have found their way into social media in recent days.

All Muslims, “moderate” or otherwise, will proudly tell anyone who will listen that the Koran is solely the work of a single man, the direct word of Allah as revealed to the Prophet Muhammad. That fact is indisputable.

Read then the words of Allah as spoken through Muhammad in Chapter 47:4 of the Koran. “When you meet the unbelievers in the battlefield strike off their heads and, when you have laid them low, bind your captives firmly. Then grant them their freedom or take a ransom from them, until War shall lay down her burdens.

“Thus shall you do. Had God willed, He could Himself have punished them (but He has ordained it thus) that He may test you, the one by the other.”

Mr. Obama and Mr. Cameron may know better than anyone else that this is NOT Islam, but if so, then there needs to be some much needed editing to amend the Koran.

According to sources who have read “Dabiq” the digital magazine is slick and well-written. Of significance, according to Patrick Goodenaugh of “CNS News”, is that the “style and grammar suggest (a) first-language English writer or writers, and the spelling is American rather than British.”

Much of the emphasis of the 42-page publication focuses on the beheading of American journalist James Foley.

Goodenaugh writes, “The magazine describes Foley’s beheading as retribution for the U.S. airstrikes in Iraq, and says it was ‘a cooling balm for the believers’ hearts to witness the execution.”
It is no coincidence that Dabiq is actually a town in northern Syria which was the site of a major Islamic victory in 1516.

The Battle of Marj Dabiq took place in late August of 1516 as part of the Ottoman-Mamluk War. Ultimately the Ottoman’s prevailed. The victory ended the Mamluk Sultanate and gave the Ottoman’s control of most of the Middle East including the entire region of Syria.

The Islamic State insists its ultimate goal is to re-establish the Islamic Caliphate and the Battle of Marj Dabiq was significant in perpetuating the Caliphate more than 165 years before it was defeated handily at the gates of Vienna on September 11, 1683.

Does any of that background begin to bring into a picture of why things are currently happening as they are in the world today?
Reminder. The anniversary of 9/11 is not far away.

On the other hand, Mssrs. Obama and Cameron tell us this is NOT Islam. Fear not, now we can all breath easier.

As with editions one and two, the third installment of “Dabiq” is a recruiting tool for attracting jihadists from around the globe as “a call of hijrah.”

When translated from Arabic, “hijrah” means migration. The term is significant in the Muslim world because it was the “hijrah” of Muhammad from Mecca to Medina in the year 622 that marks the birth of Islam.

Says “Dabiq”, while extolling the success of its recruitment program, there has never been a greater migration in history “established by the emigration of poor strangers from the East and the West, who then gathered in an alien land of war and pledged allegiance to an ‘unknown’ man (referring to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the present caliph of ISIS) in spite of the political, economic, military, media, and intelligence waged by the nations of the world against their religion, their state, and their hijrah?”

“And in spite of the fact that they did not have any common ‘nationality,’ ethnicity, language, or worldly interests, nor did they have any prior acquaintance! This phenomenon is something that has never occurred in human history, except in the case of the Islamic State!”

Paranoid though it may be, the words resound with certain vulnerable elements within societies around the globe.

But worry not. This is NOT Islam. It’s only the JV team spouting off at the world.
