Knowing the truth behind San Bernardino and Colorado Springs terrorism

COLORADO SPRINGS, December 6, 2015 — There were two terrorist attacks in America last week: the one in San Bernardino, California and the one near Planned Parenthood in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The media and federal government reactions to these shootings were instructive.

In Colorado Springs, a lone gunman started shooting near a Planned Parenthood office. The media narrative was quick and predictable: The GOP presidential candidates were responsible, and so were Colorado’s gun-toting, pro-life conservatives.

That the shooter had no relationship at all to the pro-life movement, or to any conservative organization in Colorado Springs—and we have a lot to choose from—didn’t matter. Because El Paso County has a lot of people with concealed carry permits, our “culture” was responsible for this heinous crime.

Gun rights in Colorado: All or nothing?

Colorado Gov. Hickenlooper said as much. “Rush-to-judgement” isn’t quite strong enough to describe how fast the media jumped on this story. They already had the narrative, and this story was just confirmation. It was too good to be true.

One police officer, Garrett Swasey, was killed in the attack. His funeral was held Friday at New Life Church just north of Colorado Springs. I-25 and some surrounding streets were closed for hours as hundreds of police cars from all around the state followed the hearse. The service was broadcast live on local TV.

Swasey was a church elder at Hope Chapel. He had served on the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs police force for six years. He was reportedly pro-life and had spoken out against the abortion industry, but on Friday, he rushed to help individuals being held hostage at Planned Parenthood.

That’s who pro-life conservatives in Colorado Springs really are.

In San Bernardino, an American-born Muslim man and his Pakistani wife stormed the office Christmas party at the county offices where he worked, murdering 14 people. They were heavily armed and had what is described as an IED factory in their garage. She pledged loyalty to ISIS on Facebook. They were reportedly wearing Go-pro cameras to record the carnage.

That’s who Islamic extremists really are.

San Bernardino: A terrorist attack confusing to liberals

In San Bernardino, the media had to change the story to fit the narrative. They should have called it the Christmas Party Massacre, but instead they called it a “holiday party” and speculated that the killer was really involved in some kind of workplace violence having nothing to do with his radical views.

The media almost blamed the organizers for holding a Christmas party in the first place.

The New York Times had the answer. In an article on Friday, they explained how a conservative-led government in Australia solved the mass-killing problem: They outlawed guns. If only conservatives in this country were so rational. The Times did admit that Australia hadn’t had a lot of mass shootings before the gun ban, but it still fits the narrative.

While the Times focused narrowly on the reduction of gun-related crimes, they totally neglected to cite Australia’s increase in burglaries, home invasions and other violent crimes.

That’s who the main stream, left-wing media really are.

Terrorism: Mainstream media rediscovers ‘editorial judgment’

The attack on our culture continues, led by the federal administration and aided by a complicit, compliant and almost “controlled” media. (They don’t really need to be controlled because they’re already on board.)

What are We the People to do? How do we find the truth?

The government is willfully blind to the Islamist threat while the Islamists themselves tell us as openly and plainly and urgently as they can that they are out to destroy us.

Perhaps this is a start: Be skeptical of everything you see or hear reported in the news; get your concealed carry permit; and pay very close attention to the 2016 presidential election.
