If that’s ‘not who are’ Mr. President, then who are we?

The time has come for President Obama to let the people of America know who he really is rather than telling us who we are.

CHARLOTTE, N.C., November 22, 2015 — The presidential buzz-phrase for this week was “That’s not who we are.” Obama said it repeatedly while admonishing the American people over their reluctance to admit thousands of Syrian refugees into the country.

If President Obama were truly interested in governing this country as “we are,” the United States would look considerably different than it does today.

Syrian immigration: not here, not now

What Obama really means is, “that is not who we are according to MY definition, and the American people have no right to question me or my authority. I will tell you ‘who we are’ and you will listen because I am president and you aren’t.” And Hillary Clinton has joined in the chorus.

Whenever a major terrorist attack captures the attention of the world and the media, Muslims immediately retreat in fear of a backlash against Islam. Rather than admit there is a fundamental problem at the core of their beliefs as taught by the Prophet Muhammad, they immediately drag out their Korans and begin reciting Chapter 5, Verse 32 which supposedly proclaims Islam as a religion of peace.

The Islamic apologists and sympathizers fall for the blarney every time, chastising the rest of us who can readily see that another major attack was carried out by Islamic jihadists.

Here is the portion of that notorious, often-quoted verse that is always read, occasionally by Obama himself: “…whoever killed a human being, except as punishment for murder or other villainy in the land, shall be regarded as having killed all mankind; and that whoever saved a human life shall be regarded as having saved all mankind.”

Unfortunately, the verse is taken out of context. Muslims and President Obama never quote the entire verse, which research shows is taken from Chapter 4 of the Jewish Talmud.

Here is the entire verse from Chapter 5, Verse 32 of the Koran: “That was why we laid it down for the Israelites (emphasis added) that whoever killed a human being, except as punishment for murder or other villainy in the land, shall be regarded as having killed all mankind; and that whoever saved a human life shall be regarded as having saved all mankind.”

Whoops. Where did that come?

Verse 33 continues, “Our Apostles brought them veritable proofs: yet many among them, even after that, did prodigious evil in the land.

“Those that make war against God and His apostle and spread disorder in the land shall be slain or crucified or have their hands and feet cut off on alternate sides, or be banished from the land. They shall be held up to shame in the world and sternly punished in the hereafter.”

Once again, as is typical for Islam’s apologists and for Obama as well, the truth is skewed to create an impression that is slightly off center.

These are the types of distortion and misinformation that lead large numbers of people to distrust Muslim claims of the peacefulness of their faith. Whether the Muslim world, Obama, Clinton, John Kerry and every other Islamic apologist admits it, most global terrorism is committed by people who follow the teachings of Muhammad.

The fact that most Muslims around the planet are peace-loving people with no desire to spread radical jihad to the far corners of the earth may be true, but it is also irrelevant. It does not make any difference.

Regardless of whether Muslims simply want to “live and let live” with the rest of the world, the truth is that when Muslim communities integrate into other parts of the world to escape the fanaticism of Sharia law, they also refuse to assimilate into their new surroundings and begin making demands upon their host country.

Donald Trump rides the immigration wave

Imagine taking someone into your home because he has no food or shelter and it is freezing outside. After a few days he begins to complain about your food and starts making demands about his upkeep. On a grand scale that is not much different than what happens in places like Paris, London, Brussels and Dearborn, Michigan, where large Muslim populations have taken control of large segments the city.

The Syrian refugee story as it is being reported is a political non-story that has been over-simplified. It has nothing to do with American compassion. It reaches far deeper than that, but the media only latch on to the lowest common denominator.

The time has come for President Obama to let the people of America know who he really is rather than telling us who we are.
