Comey firing fires up anti-Trump ‘Resistance.’ So who cares?

Democrats froth over Comey sacking they once urged, furiously flip-flopping to keep those Soros-funded “Resistance” fires burning. Send in the clowns.

WASHINGTON, May 11, 2017 – We used to follow the news headlines carefully to get a sense of the daily intangibles that often influence the direction of stocks and bonds, fundamental and technical analysis notwithstanding.

But lately, much of what’s reported in the media is all sound, fury and thrashing, signifying nothing. That’s because it’s so often based on manufactured “fake news” or manipulative, carefully edited fake interviews.

For example, the Tuesday-evening firing of now-former FBI Director James Comey has entered its third consecutive day of the latest media feeding-frenzy. Lame-brained pundits who long ago drank the Obama-laced Kool-Aid are now energetically conjuring up fresh visions of something far worse, far more sinister than that previously overhyped feeding frenzy known as Watergate.

Comey was cruising for a bruising even last summer when he whitewashed the Hillary email investigation before he didn’t before he did yet again. It was all cover for the White House, of course, just as his latest sidestep concerning the essentially nonexistent Trump-Russia connection is. Or was.

Along with the rest of Barack Obama’s government plants, Comey should have gotten the sack on Day 1 of the new administration. But Trump is a businessman used to delegating authority, and likely felt he needed his own guys in the thoroughly corrupted Department of “Justice.”

Once his top guys were confirmed (after the usual Democrat slow-roll through Congress), Trump and his DOJ team sprang the trap on Comey, viciously and without warning. Just as the grandstanding, media-loving Comey richly deserved.

All the predictable Trump-Comey-Russia political and media gasbagging we’ll see and read over the next days, weeks and (God forbid) months is just so much frothing-at-the-mouth virtue signaling. Writing for Townhall, noted polemicist Kurt Schlichter has a more accurate read on this long-awaited bit of swamp-draining.

“We always knew Donald Trump was brassy, but until he sent half-stepping ex-FBI Director James Comey packing, we didn’t know that his manparts were made of brass. You gotta be hardcore to step up to that sanctimonious tool, that Kasich-With-A-Badge, and cut him off at the knees in the face of the inevitable monsoon of fake news media panic, girlish Democrat howling, and sputtering Menschian Russianoia.

“No hesitation. No apologies. When it became inarguable that this pumped up functionary with delusions of omnipotence had finally passed his sell-by date, Trump pulled the trigger. That’s taking charge. That’s leading from the front. That’s regulating. Damn, it’s nice to once again have a chief executive who’s not a simpering femboy.

“The pathetic Democrats were caught so utterly off-guard, and were so completely bought-into their spittle-flicking Comey hate, that their 180 from calling for Comey’s head to calling for his restoration will give them mental whiplash. They’ll be in figurative neck braces just like the one their hero Ted Kennedy wore after he left Mary Jo in the pond.”

Note the key detail in Schlichter’s third paragraph. As this story gets hashed and rehashed, always remember this: The Democrats and the media loved Comey when he gave Hillary Clinton a pass for her obvious violations of Federal security rules last summer; before they wanted his head last fall for bringing the issue back up again; before they backed off after he backed off, and before they loved him again for bringing fake Trump-Russia news up again and again.

But when Trump had the audacity to put the over-inflated ego of James Comey back in its place by kicking him out of his place, it was déjà vu all over again for the Democrats, the media, and most of all the despicable Chuckie Schumer. For these usual suspects, casual, amoral flip-flopping has become a way of life, led this way and that by their ever-morphing ideal of Marxist-based moral equivalency.

Now, the world as we know it will surely end. Trump must be investigated! Impeached! We need a special prosecutor counsel!

There are a lot more Obama-appointed evildoers still embedded in the Federal government. It’s time for Trump and his crew to ride the current wave and clean out the rest of the overflowing septic tank of official Washington, D.C. No matter what Trump does in this regard, he’ll get trashed and reviled 24/7 by the collective, Soros-paid “Resistance.” So why not just get it done?

Trump’s Tuesday Night Mini-Massacre was as good a place to start as any.
