Colorado Liberals threaten to shoot Conservatives over social media. The El Paso County Republican Party will be hiring security for their debate watch party tonight in Colorado Springs.

Still crazy after all these years...

COLORADO SPRINGS, Dec. 15, 2015 — In the wake of two serious threats to Republicans in El Paso County in the past week, the county Republican Party will be hiring security for their debate watch party tonight in Colorado Springs.

The threats have been widely reported in the wake of the Planned Parenthood shooting in Colorado Springs last month.

Fern Roberta Delise, 54, of Fountain, made the first threat in a phone call to Planned Parenthood. Informed that the clinic was closed and that she’d have to go to Parker for an appointment, she became irate and threatened to “take her deceased husband’s gun and shoot up the Republican Party,” according to court records.

Fortunately, when Fountain police searched her home, they found firearm accessories and handgun ammunition but no weapons.

How the Republican Party could be responsible for her inconvenience is unclear, but liberals, including Colorado Gov. Hickenlooper, blamed the “gun culture” in the county for the Planned Parenthood shooting.

The second threat came from well-known Colorado Springs liberal activist Loring Wirbel who posted on his Facebook page a note aimed at Trump supporters that “This is Goebbels. This is the final solution. If you are voting for him I will have to shoot you before election day.”

Ironically, the comment was made above a post highlighting a USA Today article titled, “Trump, fear-monger in chief: Our View.”

The post has since been removed however, a lesson to all, once on social media, it will live on social media forever.

Wirbel has since claimed that it was a joke, but in his post he went on to write, “They’re not going to listen to reason so when justice is gone, there’s always force,” a line from a Laurie Anderson song.

Wirbel was a volunteer leader with the local ACLU organization. He has since resigned that position. The ACLU issued a statement saying it does not “condone the recent personal Facebook post of regional volunteer Loring Wirbel.”

It is hard to comprehend the mindset of someone who, while claiming to be an activist for a party and a philosophy of justice, peace and gun control, would write, in essence, that if you don’t agree with my point of view, I’ll just have to shoot you.

Simply breathtaking—but that’s what makes the left so dangerous.

It’s the same “conform or die” mindset that the world has seen in elsewhere in the 20th century: China’s Great Leap Forward, the killing fields of Cambodia and the purges of Stalin’s Russia, to name just three.

One cannot fail to add the Final Solution of the National Socialists in Hitler’s Germany, which Wirbel refers to, taking on the persona of Joseph Goebbels, architect of the Final Solution, as he advises people in his post about what to say to Trump supporters.

Dan Cole, the executive director of the El Paso Republican Party, who first noticed the post on Wirbel’s Facebook page, said that he’s received a few unsavory tweets as a result. One he especially remembers is “Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean we’re not out to get you.”

Ah, the tolerant and inclusive left! Say whatever you like…just as long as you don’t disagree with me.

Just to be on the safe side, the Republicans are hiring security for their event, which is being held at the Stargazer’s Theatre, 10 S. Parkside Drive in Colorado Springs. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the debate begins at 7. The event is free and open to the public.
