WASHINGTON, July 2, 2014 – You can’t help but smile over the courtship, engagement and marriage of Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard. Now the young couple are home from their honeymoon, People Magazine has revealed.

And Mrs. Dillard said it was awesome.

The young couple chose a rather low key destination, Kill Devil Hills and the North Carolina ocean front where they rented a house on the beach.  The area, home to the historic Wright Brothers museum and site of their early flight attempts, is a great vacation destination that is filled with plenty of ocean estuaries, parks, kayaking, hiking, touring the historic lighthouses and, a trip north on the outer banks to Corolla to see the famous Spanish Barb wild horses is a favorite journey for many.

Reading the magazine’s coverage it seems they did what young newlyweds should do – they spent time hanging out, grilling and kissing – something they put off until after the “I Dos” in keeping with the strong Christian beliefs the share.

The Dillards married on June 21 in front of 1,000 guests, including the bride’s 18 siblings and parents.  Jill is the second daughter, 4th child, of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar and part of the TLC show “19 Kids & Counting.”

Mrs. Dillard says that she is spending time setting up their home and learning to cook for two. We can now wait for the announcement of their first child and wonder just how many they may have!
