SAN DIEGO, September 18, 2016 – With the Lochte shocker nearly a week behind us, we can get down to the dancing without distraction on “Dancing With The Stars” in Week 2.
The first elimination is looming on Tuesday night. The couples will add their Week 2 scores to the Week 1 results, and those scores plus fan votes from both weeks will determine who goes home.
It’s TV Week, and in Season 23 many of the stars come from television shows. So they’ll be dancing to familiar music. We’ll see if it helps.
The couples at the bottom of the leaderboard need to hustle to avoid going home. We’re talking about you, Rick Perry. But if Jake Austin’s fans don’t come through for him, he could be the one saying goodbye. Forget Maureen McCormick going home, especially after dancing to “The Brady Bunch” theme song.
Ryan Lochte reportedly suffered an ankle injury due to the protestor incident. He and partner Cheryl Burke drew a Foxtrot to “The Muppet Show” theme, and whether you love or hate him, it would be a shame if he performed at less than his best due to injury. Athletes have a way of working through injuries, and no doubt he’s done so many times in his swimming career.
Check out the lineup, and be sure to set a reminder to join our Live Fan Chat on Monday night at 8 p.m. ET.
