WASHINGTON, October 2, 2016 — With all the flap and flapdoodle that occurred earlier this election year when sparks flew back and forth between current Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump and Fox News’ popular reporter and personality Megyn Kelly, one small fact seems to have slipped between the journalistic cracks. The Democrats’ Presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton, has never appeared on Kelly’s show.
So what’s the deal? After Kelly’s very public jousting with a very displeased Donald Trump during the volatile spring primary season, you’d think that Clinton would be jumping at the chance to do a little one-upsmanship on The Donald by appearing on Kelly’s show. But in this “Deal or No Deal” world, that’s apparently been a “No Deal,” for whatever the reason.
According to a report posted in AOL’s Newsy Kelly continues to press the issue.
“‘Hillary Clinton went on record, called yours truly “a superb journalist” when Trump was attacking me. Why won’t she come on The Kelly File?’ Megyn Kelly asked Hillary Clinton campaign press secretary Brian Fallon after the debate Monday.”
With last Monday’s feisty but more or less inconclusive debate now a matter of record, pressure is beginning to build on the elusive Hillary Clinton to make herself more available to the media. Given that Kelly’s Fox colleagues Bill O’Reilly and Bret Baier have previously interviewed Clinton, Megan Kelly has no plans to give up her pursuit of Hillary as the following report by Douglas Barclay clearly indicates.
Is Hillary dissing Fox? Trying to avoid potential tough questions from the aggressive Kelly? Hiding away again after yet another mysterious health episode? We’ve only got one more month to find out.
