SAN DIEGO, November 17, 2014 – It’s a tough night to get eliminated on “Dancing With The Stars.” One couple will miss making the finals by just THAT much.
Join our live chat for the semifinals Monday at 8 p.m. ET as we find out who the unlucky competitors will be. It is more likely fan votes will make the difference than judges’ votes. Your columnist has been saving behind the scenes tidbits from her trip to the DWTS ballroom last week to share.
Alfonso Ribeiro, considered the heavy favorite to win with pro partner Witney Carson, is holding off a back injury. Witney Carson posted the following photo late Saturday afternoon. Every indication is that he’ll stick it out and perform tonight. Very few competitors have gone out with injuries at this stage. There is always a workaround with small choreography and a determined star.
Fan votes make a big difference at this point of the competition. Even though Tommy Chong and Peta Murgatroyd are at the bottom of the leaderboard on judges’ points, the fans love this pair. Don’t be surprised if they make it to the finals over a couple with fewer votes. If they do, Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas seem likely to fall just short of the finale.
