SAN DIEGO, November 25, 2014 – Final performances including perfect freestyle routines made it so close that fan votes will determine the Season 19 Mirror Ball Trophy winner of “Dancing With The Stars tonight.
It’s one of the closest competitions in many seasons. While the oddsmakers favored Alfonso Ribeiro to win from the start, it is not a given. Janel Parrish and Sadie Thompson are so mathematically close that it will all rest on whether their fans showed up to vote.
Alfonso Ribeiro has prior dance experience, although as a child tap dancing on Broadway and moonwalking with Michael Jackson. But that was decades ago and a world away from what he has done in the ballroom with pro Witney Carson. He’s by far the best performer of the finalists.
Janel Parrish and Val Chmerkovskiy played up their chemistry, but it took a whole season to develop into something truly real. Janel never holds back. Throughout the season she’s shown that if sheer will can create a win, she’ll be holding that trophy at the end.
Before we get to find out the name of our Season 19 champion, we will see numerous guest performances including Meghan Trainor and Jennifer Hudson, and take a look back with all the stars and pros whose performances we enjoyed throughout Season 19.
We will host our final live chat of the season on Tuesday. Make note of the starting time, 9 p.m. Eastern.
