SAN DIEGO, October 6, 2014 – Fans are the fourth judge tonight on “Dancing With The Stars” in week 4.

While the fans always have plenty to say about the performances, this time it will count as part of the scoring. Here is how it works. For each routine, viewers can vote online at for exactly two minutes and 15 seconds from the start of the routine. The average from all fan votes will be the official fourth score on the leaderboard.

We won’t see how it plays out until next week, since this week’s elimination will be based on last week’s judges scores and fan votes. The three performers at the bottom of the leaderboard were Michael Waltrip, Antonio Sabato, and Betsey Johnson. Whose fans rallied to help save them?

Tonight, the ten remaining couples all perform a routine depicting the most memorable year in the stars’ lives. This theme has a way of bringing out the best in the stars with heartfelt performances that mean something beyond the competition. They are frequently dedicated to someone important in their lives.

Three of those routines will be sambas, two will be jives, two will be rumbas, plus jazz, contemporary, and a quickstep. And yes, we’ll get to see The Carlton this week from Alfonso Ribiero.

The show will also include a performance of “Try” by Colbie Caillat.

Fans can also continue voting for the Switch-Up, where the stars will all swap pro partners for next week. Vote by Twitter by using the #DWTS followed by the first name of the star and then the pro you want together. For example, #DWTSValBetsey
